Welcome to the Buhler Active Living Centre! šŸ‘‹

We are a ā€œnot for profitā€ seniorā€™s (55+) community organization governed by a Board of Directors consisting of community members. It is designed to allow seniors to ā€œage-in-placeā€ in spite of the challenges of life and create an opportunity to nurture in a safe and secure environment in various settings including:

-An Active Living Centre creating a

social community based on a variety of activities as well as food services.

-Affordable Housing for seniors whose income limits access to available housing.

-Independent Living on floors 3 to 8 with resources that offer access to both housing and services they may require in the later stages of life.

operates 'The Villages' on the 2nd floor for seniors who require care on a twenty-four hour basis.

operates out of the building with a variety of programming for seniors in the area.

- H.F. Wiebe Pharmacy operates out of Buhler Active Living Centre, which is very convenient for residents, staff, and anyone living in the area.

The weekend is here again! Anyone else feel like this week was incredibly short, or is it just me? Here's just a glimpse of what we enjoyed last weekend. Saturday we had a whole crew baking and decorating some goodies; and Sunday they enjoyed the fruits of their labour and played some games as well. šŸ˜‹šŸŽ²

The only magical thing about these Magic Cookie Bars is the way the sweetened condensed milk brings all the ingredients together, making them ooey gooey and oh-so-yummy! If you buy them, you wonā€™t regret it!

Happy Thursday! Weā€™ve got some fun things on the menu this week!

Glazed Apple Cake- yummy šŸŽ sprinkled through out a lightly spiced cake, glazed with a caramel-like sauce

Tres Leches Cake- a simple white cake? You would be wrong! Cake soaked in three milks, topped with whipped cream and strawberries! Itā€™s not soggy, just tasty!

Magic Cookie Bars- a graham crust, sprinkled with a bit of pecan and coconut, topped with double the chocolate and sooooooo addictive!

Cappuccino Muffins- Iā€™ve been making this recipe for over 25 years. Coffee infused muffin with, of course, chocolate chips šŸ˜‹
