Have you ever wondered how governance decisions are made? Or have you wanted to play a role in shaping the future of pharmacy regulation requirements in Manitoba? This is your chance to make a meaningful contribution to the regulation of the pharmacy professions and uphold the public best interest.
The College of Pharmacists of Manitoba (CPhM) Appointments Committee is seeking one Full Registered Pharmacist to fill a vacancy on Council. The successful candidate will serve out the remainder of a three-year term, concluding May 2028.
Pharmacy professionals who are interested in applying to fill the vacancy yet concerned they have no governance experience are encouraged to apply.
CPhM’s competency-based appointments process recognizes that strong governance relies on a variety of experiences and skills. Council service requires pharmacists who are committed to serving the public interest, willing to contribute thoughtfully to discussions, and eager to learn. Orientation, education, and training programs are provided to every Council member. Council values a diversity of perspectives, practice backgrounds, and geographic locations to ensure effective governance and informed decision making.
This is a volunteer role and a unique opportunity to contribute to the future of pharmacy regulation. Applications are open until September 4, 2026. Learn more and apply here: https://cphm.ca/council-appointments/
