We’re cutting out a little early to kick off the August Long Weekend! Here are our holiday hours so you can plan your frame check-ins and contact lens pickups accordingly:

🕒 Friday, August 1st: Closing early at 3:00 PM
🗓️ Saturday, Aug 2nd – Monday, Aug 3rd: CLOSED
✨ Tuesday, August 4th: Reopening at regular hours!

Dr. E here to break down a critical—and dangerous—misconception about summer eyewear. 🕶️ Look closely at the graphic below, because this science might surprise you:

There is a massive difference between cheap, tinted fashion lenses and genuine UV400 protection.

When you wear low-quality sunglasses that are dark but lack real UV filters, they simply shade your eyes. This darkness fools your brain into thinking it's night, causing your pupils to dilate (open wider).

Because the lens isn't actually blocking the radiation, that wider pupil acts like an open door—allowing more harmful UV rays straight into the back of your eye, risking permanent damage to your internal retina. 🛑

The Vision Wizard’s Rule: Never choose a pair based on tint alone. Always look for the explicit UV400 label.
