Dr. Sherif Megalli Basali was truly one of a kind. A rare soul whose kindness, support, and compassion touched everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.
Those who knew him didn’t just admire him; they loved him. The overwhelming turnout at his celebration of life said everything that words could not: family, friends, colleagues, and patients gathered in grief and gratitude, while countless others called the office in tears, stunned by the suddenness of his passing , and desperate to express their condolences. No one feels this loss more deeply than Vera his wife, Nayer, and Sandy his children.
He had an extraordinary gift for making every person feel seen. He listened with his whole heart. He cared without hesitation. He had a way of bringing people together, of creating warmth in any room he entered. His compassion was steady, genuine, and often quietly astonishing.
He never rushed you. He never made you feel like a burden. No matter who you were or where you came from, he treated you with dignity, patience, and humanity. I consider myself profoundly lucky to have known him for as long as I did.
His absense leaves an ache that words can’t fully hold, but his memory will continue to shine in the lives he touched

I am heartbroken by the passing of dear Dr. Megalli Basali
He was not only an exceptional and highly professional doctor, but also an incredibly kind, warm, and genuine person.
I feel truly grateful that I had the chance to work with him, and to know him as sucha wonderful human being.
He is deeply missed, and his kindness, wisdom, and humanity will stay in our heart forever.
My sincere and heartfelt condolences to his family.

We are heartbroken to share the passing of Dr. Sherif Megalli Basali, who started his practice in Winnipeg in 2016.
He was respected by his patients for his professionalism, and for the care he provided. He touched countless lives in ways that will never be forgottenz in such a short time doctor Megalli Basali became a source of comfort, hope, and healing for so many.
Dr. Megalli Basali gave his patients what is most precious, his time.
If someone needed an extra moment , he offered it without hesitation. His compassion was unmistakable, and set him apart in every way. He was quick to listen, and always ready to lift someone’s spirits.
He never saw people as numbers or appointments, but as human beings deserving of dignity, respect, and genuine care. That was the heart of who he was.
His absense leaves a profound emptiness, but his kindness and the lives he changed will continue to echo through our clinic and our community.

Our thoughts of heartfelt condolences are with his family, friends, and all of his patients who will deeply miss him.

Arrowwood Medical Centre has been approved to administer the Covid 19 vaccine
We have been confirmed to receive a limited quantity for the pilot program for Covid 19 Vaccines.

Eligibility will be set by the provincial government primarily by age.
To help you find out when you’ll be eligible. Doctors Manitoba created https://gov.mb.ca/covid19/vaccine/clinics.html

We encourage you to visit the site, check your eligibility, and sign up to be notified about when you become eligible. You’ll also answers to common vaccine questions too.

Due to high call volumes we ask that you call only if you meet the criteria.
Please stay tuned for further updates.

As physicians, we support and trust these new vaccines. They are safe and effective, and we recommend that all adults get immunized with very few exceptions.

We also want to reassure you that it’s natural to have questions. These are new vaccines for a new disease. Check out ManitobaVaccine.ca for more information. Your doctor is also here to answer your questions and talk about your concerns.

Thank you for your patience, and please continue to do all you can to prevent spread of the virus, and to keep you and your loved ones safe. This means wearing a mask when you’re out, staying six feet from others, limiting contact with others, and washing your hands frequently.
