After all the snowfall that we've been getting as late as April, we're finally rolling into warmer months (hopefully). That means that ticks have made their appearance!☀

Have you gotten prevention for your pet yet?

We carry Simparica Trio in clinic but if you want a different kind of prevention, you can special order it in! When ordering it in, make sure to give us a couple days notice to prepare it for you and we'll contact you when it's ready to be picked up.

We also do the 4DX blood test to check if your dog has caught anything from last summer. Not required but definitely recommended!

Give us a call at 204-504-5600 to order in your prevention and book an appointment if you want to do the blood test!

We’re reaching the middle of April, so we just wanted to let you know April is actually Heartworm Awareness Month ❤️🐾

Murphy, Ume and Busch were few of the dogs that we did 4DX tests for to see if they have caught anything from last year, including Heartworm disease.

Heartworm disease is a serious and potentially life-threatening condition that can affect both dogs and cats. It’s caused by parasites that are spread through mosquito bites—and once infected, treatment can be costly and complex.

The good news? Heartworm disease is preventable.

Keeping your pet on a regular heartworm prevention plan is the best way to protect them. Even indoor pets can be at risk, especially as the weather warms up and mosquitoes become more active.
