The Children’s Rehabilitation Foundation is a non profit organization dedicated to helping children with disabilities and special needs be as independent as possible. We are the fundraising arm for the Rehabilitation Centre for Children (RCC)--an outpatient facility providing rehabilitation services and specialized health clinics for children and youth who live with life-long conditions. Every year, over 22,000 visits are made to RCC.

Happy graduation to our 2025/26 ambassador, Ava! 🎓

This year marked an incredible milestone. With the support of a Rifton Pacer walker funded by Tim Hortons smile cookie purachses, Ava was able to walk alongside her classmates and stand proudly for her cap-and-gown photos, moments her family once only dreamed of.

What once felt out of reach is now possible, opening the door to even more opportunities ahead. Ava’s journey is a powerful reminder of how the right equipment can build confidence, independence and a future full of possibility.

For children with disabilities, though, it’s not as simple as buying a bike off the shelf. Giving them a custom bike tailored to their abilities provides the comfort and stability to thrive.

A wonderful day celebrating the launch of Bright Path Enterprises!

Executive Director, Barb Borton, and Director of Jordan’s Principle, EDI & Service Integration, Pam Becker, were pleased to join New Directions for Children, Youth, Adults & Families to celebrate the launch

Through Bright Path, a food cart service will offer snacks for children and families during their visits to SSCY Centre helping create a more welcoming, supportive experience.

We were honoured to accept a certificate on behalf of Chris Froese, Occupational Therapy Clinical Services Leader, whose leadership helped bring this important program to life and support youth in our community.

We are thrilled to announce that we have received a $500 grant from the Beautiful Plains Community Foundationin support of our Adaptive Equipment Loan Program.

This funding will make a significant impact by providing a child with a disability access to a much-needed travel buggy, improving their mobility and enhancing their quality of life.
