Now that your baby is here, do you think you should be feeling happier than you do?

Do you feel depressed, angry, or lonely? Is parenthood different than you thought it would be? Big changes can bring up big feelings and you’re not alone.

Coping with Change is a free weekly group for new parents and caregivers. You can talk openly and honestly about all the feelings that come when a baby joins your life. You’ll meet other parents who get you and leave with skills to cope with all you are holding. Whether this is your first time welcoming a child into your family or you’re adjusting to an additional child, this group is for you.

Mondays, September 14 - October 12
1:00 pm -3:00 pm

September is the month we commemorate the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day. We sit with the truth of the devastating violence & lasting effects of residential schools. 🧡

We honour the lives lost and forever changed. We witness the resilience of survivors. And we try to embody what it means to move forward together. Both by acknowledging the truth and participating in reconciliation by creating spaces for healing, connection and change.

We think the Kokums from the Kokums Circle say it best:

“Reconciliation is about brothers and sisters across cultures. It’s about all cultures coming together, learning from one another, and creating change so everyone belongs.”

Come together with us on Saturday, September 19th for the 3rd Annual Chāpān Games and Teachings. Chāpān Games and Teachings is free, all-ages event where generations connect.

It focuses on healing through the medicine of laughter and having fun with traditional Indigenous games, free food, singing, dancing, drag, and so much more. ❤

We don't have to carry everything by ourselves. We can lean on each other. We can make room for one another. We can be brave together.

Today, we are celebrating artists and thinkers whose words and work remind us that collective care is a form of strength - and that change has never been a solo act 💛
