🌟 Volunteer Spotlight 🌟

Quinn has been volunteering at Misericordia for more than a year while pursuing a Master of Physical Therapy at the University of Manitoba. As she prepares to begin her second and final year this August, Quinn says volunteering has given her invaluable hands-on experience in patient communication, empathy, and navigating the health-care system. Skills that are essential to her future career as a physical therapist.

Whether she's helping patients find their way, preparing mobility aids or simply offering a friendly smile, Quinn believes even small acts of kindness can make a meaningful difference. Volunteering has reinforced her passion for health care and continues to motivate her as she works toward improving the health and quality of life of future patients, both locally and through international humanitarian work.

Staff took part in hands-on Fire Extinguisher Training today as part of our ongoing Disaster Management and Emergency Preparedness activities.

The 30-minute session gave participants practical knowledge and skills to safely use a fire extinguisher during an emergency. Great work, team! 👏

Congratulations to Ben, this year's Youth Services Award recipient! 👏

Since joining us as a volunteer in Grade 10, Ben has dedicated hundreds of hours to supporting patients, staff and visitors at Misericordia Health Centre. This fall, he'll be heading to the University of Winnipeg to study kinesiology as he works toward his goal of becoming a chiropractor. We're so proud of everything he's accomplished and can't wait to see where his journey takes him.

Thank you for making such a positive impact in our community! 💙
