Ever wonder what the chairs in a waiting room are actually for? 🤔
A new client arrived recently, stepped into our waiting room... looked around... and then decided the next logical step was to… wander through the clinic until he found a human.
He eventually found me in the staff room, enthusiastically stuffing the last few bites of my lunch into my face before my next appointment. 😅
I heard someone arrive, but I figured I'd swallow my food before greeting them.
Seemed like the more professional option.🤷🏻♀️
During his treatment he asked,
"So you don't have a receptionist? At my next appointment, do I just hunt you down?"
Nope. 😊
Just have a seat in the waiting room and your therapist will come out to greet you at your appointment time.
A lot of smaller clinics don't have someone sitting at the front desk every minute of the day.
Your therapist may be finishing with another client, sanitizing the room, writing notes, or (if we're lucky) grabbing a quick bite to eat!
So if you ever arrive at a clinic and nobody is at the front desk, don't panic.
Have a seat… we know you're here, and we'll come find you.
Your therapist (and their half-eaten lunch) will appreciate it. 😂
