What better way to spend a sunny day ☀then to sip lemonade🍹on the patio listening to the joyful music from Les Picard 🎵. Residents sang along and tapped their feet all while enjoying one another's company, laughing, and munching on lemon cookies 🍪 on this beautiful summer day !

Participating in crafts helps strengthen fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination while encouraging focus and concentration on smaller details. It also engages the mind through problem-solving, decision-making, and creative thinking. Residents enjoy experimenting with different textures, colors, and patterns, creating projects that are truly their own. Canada Day Celebration! 🇨🇦

The Activity Room was filled with creativity and Canadian pride as residents spent time painting beautiful Canadian flags. Everyone had the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents, and the finished masterpieces were proudly displayed for all to admire. It was wonderful to see so much enthusiasm and community spirit as we kicked off our Canada Day celebrations. Stay tuned for more exciting Canada Day festivities and fun to come! 🍁🎨🇨🇦

Julie is truly the heart of our kitchen. Whether she’s preparing delicious meals or creating the many baked goods our residents enjoy, she puts her heart and soul into everything she does. You’ll often find Julie chatting and laughing with residents in the hallways or sitting with them at their tables, taking the time to build genuine connections. She makes every resident feel valued, loved, and cared for through her kindness, warmth, and dedication. Julie’s passion for both her work and the people she serves shines through every day, making our community a brighter and more welcoming place for everyone. 🥧🍪

Father’s Day Pizza Party

We had a wonderful time celebrating Father’s Day with our amazing seniors and honouring all the dads who have touched our lives. Fathers provide us with lifelong advice, share funny stories, create cherished memories, and stand by us with encouragement, strength, and support through every stage of life. Today, and every day, they deserve special recognition for all they do.

Each dad received a special take-home gift as a small token of appreciation, along with the opportunity to create wonderful memories with friends. Our celebration was filled with laughter, great conversation, and time spent together enjoying one another’s company.

We wrapped up the day with delicious donuts, Timbits, and a fun painting activity that everyone enjoyed. A heartfelt thank you to Twice the Deal Pizza and Tim Hortons for providing the exceptional food and treats that helped make this day so special for our amazing seniors. It was a truly memorable celebration of the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who mean so much to us all. 💙🍕🍩🎨 Even some of the ladies joined the fun!

Celebrating Our Seniors of the Year

We started the day off with a delicious outdoor BBQ with staff, family and friends. Burgers, sausages, salads and fruit filled the plates. The weather was bright and sunny setting the tone for a glorious day.

Today, we are proud to recognize our Seniors of the Year: Dorothy, Bob, Irene, and Art.

These residents exemplify the spirit of our community through their willingness to help their fellow residents, their kind words, and their infectious laughter. Their generosity, compassion, and friendship have made a lasting impact on everyone around them.

Whether it's lending a helping hand, offering a shoulder to lean on, sharing a laugh, or simply sitting down for a cup of coffee and a friendly chat, these individuals are always there when needed. They are dependable, caring, and dedicated to making our home a welcoming and supportive place for all.

Today, we celebrate Dorothy, Bob, Irene, and Art for their wonderful contributions and for the positive difference they make every day. Their kindness and community spirit help make our residence a joyful place to live.

🎉 Happy 80th Birthday, Sharon! 🎉

What a wonderful day of celebration for our very special Sharon as she marked her 80th birthday surrounded by so many residents, family members, and friends. The room was filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories as everyone came together to celebrate this remarkable milestone.

Sharon was showered with thoughtful gifts and kind wishes, and enjoyed a delicious birthday cake along with plenty of tasty treats. Throughout the day, stories were shared, memories were revisited, and smiles filled every corner of the room. The laughter, reminiscing, and fun made the occasion truly unforgettable.

Thank you to everyone who joined in making Sharon's 80th birthday so special. Here's to celebrating a life filled with wonderful memories and to creating many more in the years ahead!

Due to renovations in our kitchen, meal preparation has temporarily been moved to the activity room while we wait for our new stove to arrive. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner have been carefully prepared and served from this space, ensuring our residents continue to enjoy quality meals throughout the transition.

Despite the changes, Bingo and morning exercise programs have remained a great success, and our residents have been incredibly accommodating and understanding during this time.

Our kitchen, floor staff, and activities have all done an outstanding job working together to ensure residents receive the best possible care and dining experience. Everyone has lent a hand, from preparing and delivering meals to helping wherever needed. Their teamwork, flexibility, and dedication have made this transition run smoothly, and we are grateful for the collective effort shown by all involved.
