After many years of dedicated service, our Director of Maintenance & Environmental Services, Bruce Greene, has announced his retirement next year. While we will miss his leadership, sense of humor, expertise, and unwavering commitment to The Meadows especially during covid our our recent strike, we are excited to begin the search for the next person to join our leadership team and help shape the future of our organization.

The Meadows is seeking a Director of Maintenance & Environmental Services to lead building operations, environmental services, laundry, grounds, capital projects, safety programs, and a dedicated team of staff who help make our home safe, comfortable, and welcoming every day. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on problem-solving and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

If you are a collaborative leader with experience in facilities management, maintenance operations, project management, and team development, we would love to hear from you. We're hoping to hire someone in the next couple of months, to give sufficient transition time with Bruce. We took our Trillium residents to Ellenwood Park for a picnic lunch — good food, fun games, and plenty of time spent with family and friends.🌳💛

🌊☕ The residents had a great time at the Seafest Tea held at Holy Trinity!
Our residents and community members came together for a wonderful afternoon filled with warm conversation, tea and treats, and that small-town connection we all cherish. So many smiles and great memories made!
Huge thanks to everyone who helped make it special. We can’t wait for next year’s Seafest Tea! ❤️

Our residents had an amazing time enjoying a delicious lunch, playing fun games, and soaking up the sunshine on such a beautiful day. It was especially heartwarming to have Veteran’s Place join us — thank you for sharing the afternoon with us!

Happy Canada Day from all of us at The Meadows! 🇨🇦❤️

To celebrate the residents came together in true Canadian spirit! Yesterday we kicked things off with a fun Canada Day trivia session filled with laughter and friendly competition. Afterwards everyone enjoyed a Strawberry Shortcake Social — complete with fresh strawberries, whipped cream, and punch! So fortunate to have Roger and Debbie Thibault and Willard entertain us during the event. 🎶
Tomorrow, we’re keeping the celebrations going with a facility-wide BBQ.

🌸 🌱 Our wonderful residents had a fantastic outing to J & R Comeau Greenhouse, where they picked out some beautiful flowers!

The smiles were everywhere as everyone chose their favorites and then got their hands dirty during our planting day. Nothing beats fresh blooms, fresh air, and good company! 💐

A big thank you to J & R Comeau for the warm welcome and the huge selection. These flowers are going to brighten up our space for weeks to come!

We’re excited to welcome Cameron Newell back to the Meadows! 🎉
Cameron previously worked at The Meadows as a CCA and was truly missed after he moved on to work in the rehab department at YRH. We’re so happy to have him rejoin the team as our new part-time Recreation Programmer!
Cameron is nearing completion of his Recreation Therapy degree and will be finishing up this September.
