I would like to thank everyone for being considerate of the new & constantly changing guidelines and requirements.

We just have to make the best of this for awhile yet, as the impact of Covid19 is unlikely to be going away anytime soon. Just a reminder on some of the changes, in case you haven’t been in for awhile;

Only patients that call and pass the Covid19 screening questionnaire will be able to book or enter.

MASKS MUST BE WORN, and FRESH CLEAN CLOTHING - straight from home, or changed from that worn in public/work, (such as a set of sweats kept bagged & protected at work).

Personal items such as the following should remain in your vehicle: purses, hats, bags, handkerchiefs (should not be used anymore) or coats unless foul weather like active rain/snow. ONLY BRING IN WHAT YOU NEED for the appointment, such as forms, payment, insurance, & a calendar or phone for scheduling. This is to prevent virus transmission from surface contamination.

You will call to notify Reception of arrival but remain outside (more than 6’ from entrance) until called to come in. You will be screened upon arrival to ensure you are safe before entering the clinic.

Hands must be washed/sanitized before entering. NOTE: use paper towel for touching doors and handles after hand cleansing, until inside the clinic.

Only those individuals with a scheduled appointment, that have called Reception and been told to enter are allowed in.

Let’s all do our part to stay safe with this “new normal”. Hopefully it doesn’t last too long. Thank you 😊

The NS Govt has announced that we are allowed to reopen as of June 5. This is great news!
Please be patient as we search to obtain the required PPE and need time to prepare office layout and procedure changes. These guidelines only became known today, and are different for every profession and business. We cannot open without meeting these requirements, so as much as we want to open June 5, it will only happen once we have secured what we need.

I will post here and place a message on our voicemail when we can start accepting appointment bookings. Hope to see you all soon!

It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to close during the Covid19 pandemic, as of April 1st. I realize that requiring patients, especially those essential service workers who are already overworked and struggling, to manage their painful conditions with medications is not ideal in light of all we’ve learned from the opioid epidemic. But, we must do our part to encourage people to stay isolated and prevent the spread of this pandemic.

Please follow recommendations I’ve provided as much as possible for self-care; whether it’s stretching, posture, ergonomics, strengthening, cold or heat therapy, self-massage, taking breaks from repetitive tasks or from holding one posture for 20 minutes or more.

I’m looking forward to seeing you all again once the danger has past. We will be posting changes as they occur, as well as our voicemail to let you know when we will be reopening. Take care of yourselves and your loved ones.
