The River Roots farm stand opens TOMORROW! We hope to see you there! We got a late harvest this year due to a colder spring and onboarding some new gardeners, but now we are seeing the hard work pay off! Plenty of fresh herbs, tomatoes, peppers, and many other summer favourites

If you liked seeing all the photos of all the great things we cooked at FoodFit, then you should join us this fall! Our next session starts September 14th in River Bourgeois, at Richmond River Roots.

This is a 12 week program where we find ways to build good relationships with food, movement, and the community around us. All older adults are welcome, no matter what your experience level with cooking is.

Teddy Bear Picnic Update:
Hey folks! our teddy bear picnic scheduled for today is still going ahead, but we will me moving INSIDE to the St.Peter's Lion hall due to the rain in the forecast.

Didn't we have a great time at FoodFit! We enjoyed a beautiful sunny day in the kitchen, and picked some recipes together. We also did some seated exercise videos, and shared some laughs!

Its almost time for our annual Teddy Bear Picnic, in collaboration with Nicholas Deny's Days! Come join us July 30th from 11:00 to 1:00 at the George Robertson Recreation Complex Baseball Field in St. Peter's. ( If it rains, we will move inside to the St. Peter's Lions Hall)

So come bring your favorite Teddy toy, a blanket, and a packed lunch, and join us for an afternoon of family friendly fun!

If you haven't joined us before, here's what to expect:
Your teddy will get a full health checkup! Your teddy will get its measurements taken, get its teeth checked, and get its up to date vaccinations. Your teddy will receive a certificate of health, and afterwards, you can join us for a teddy scavenger hunt and a story time!

We hope to see you there!
