THEME: SET YOURSELF APART IN EXCELLENC*

1 Peter 2:9 (WEB)
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Excellence is the hallmark of the Christian who is truly awakened to the personhood of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of excellence. He fills you with the mind-set for excellence and glory. He trains you to come up to the place where you eschew anything that is contemptible and blamable. He builds in you the attitude to do all things without spot or blame so that all your works will be perfect in the sight of God.

Since the Holy Spirit dwells in you permanently, He has set you apart into excellence. You must abide in excellence, never giving in to mediocrity and average. Decide that you will always abide at the top. You must continually push for the peak of excellence in all that you do. Excellent people usually set standards for generations to follow. They champion ingenious ways of getting things accomplished. Be like Jesus, the man of true excellence and glory.

Gladly, this is your calling. The theme scripture affirms that you are God's own possession. He has called you out from the world in order that you will show forth His excellence and glory to the people of the world. Could you fail in your calling? The world looks up to you for example of excellence. If you are a student, do not disappoint the people around you by failing your papers. As a worker, display excellence in your field. Always have the picture of an impeccable living in your mind and pursue that beautiful, excellent and glorious vision. Glory to God!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for your calling. Your calling has brought me into a life of excellence and glory. I love your calling, and I make it my ambition to constantly pursue this life of excellence and glory. Excellence is my hallmark. Glory is my aura. Hallelujah!

THEME: THE CHURCH IS UNSHAKABLE

Matthew 16:18 (KJV)
And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

The church from its inception has survived many harsh treatments and persecutions in the world. However, her foundation has never been altered. The body of Christ still stands strong dominating the world with the Lord’s glory. In harsh political and religious arsenals, the church still marches on progressively. The church would triumphantly exist, because Christ is her solid foundation. Though the devil parades all forms of lies and attacks against the church, be rest assured the gates of hell cannot impede the impact and progress of the body of Christ. Honour the church of God worldwide, never in conduct or communication join the world in attacking the Lord's body.

The church is not a religious body that is trying to get God's attention with many rituals and petitions. The many assemblies of Christ worldwide constitute God's family. We are His holy and glorious nation. God reigns as the Sovereign King of this nation. As a nation, the doctrine of Christ is the custom for the way of living of the church. Your citizenship demands you to be acquainted with every truth in Christ Jesus for your walk in reality. All authority and power is conferred on you to establish God's Kingdom in your world, everyone must submit to His rule.

The whole earth belongs to God and He has set you as a steward of His creation. This means you must guard and ensure everything is functioning as He expects. Anytime you see systems contrary to His set ordinance, know that it is your responsibility to solve that situation. In the world, there are countries that have openly declared their resentment for the Lord Jesus and have further set structures to oppose the entrance of the gospel of Christ. However, by the mandate and authority of the body of Christ, all such countries will succumb to God's sovereign rule. Take personal responsibility for the spread of the gospel of Christ into all nations of the world.

DECLARATION
I am a citizen of God's holy nation. The doctrine of Christ is my custom of practice. I fulfil my mandate of establishing the Kingdom of God in my world. I see all countries in the world submit to the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Glory to the Lord God Jesus!

TRAIN UP THE CHILD Part 1.

In recent times, there's been lots of noises and addresses as to how children are being brought up. Many founding founders right from psychology to sociology, human development and behaviorist have all proven their points and thoughts as to how children growing up may react. Some have argued from the point the sociological point of view that how children are socialized in essence how they are trained will depict their behavior in reality. They say society may transform an individual to be good or bad. Thus it all bares on we as individuals to be able to teach and train our children right to be able to live up to society's roles and expectations. The society has laid down versions morals, values and norms that one as an individual social being is subjected to live by. Not living by these basic principles means one has fluted the laws of society.

Psychologist will also argue in respect of the mind of the individual. Psychologists proclaim that as a child is born, he or she comes with a blank slate of mind called the tabula rasa which means that there's nothing that has been encoded into the mind of a child to be able to behave in a particular way.

Psychologist believe that the child after meeting the world picks up learning behaviors from the people around and hence they try to imitate actions for example speech. Children are programmed in the mind to act in away. Developmental psychologists and child specialists will tell you that at each stage in a child's life, they begin to look at the world around them and imitate what they see and hear.

It has become a norm now in the world that children have rights and yes they do but since they are children certain rights are in the hands of their parents and not the children themselves. Bible says in Proverbs 22:6, Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. The right to train up a child is not in the child's own hands but in that of the parents. Not in the hands of just the father or in the hands of just the mother. The root word to train in the Bible is the word "chanak" which means to discipline as well as dedicate. To train up the child is to instill a sense of discipline or to dedicate something in the child so that once he's old he or she would not depart from it. Train the child the way, which brings to mind a set order that the child is to live by and as it was been written, the writer had the idea that the parents knew the way to go so thence they must also train the child in that same way to go. The training of the child should be that the parents stand perfect and complete in the sense that they have been by reason grew into that way so that they children will follow suit even as they train them to do so.

In conclusion of this part, it is the idea of God that parents having known the way to go will usher their children in that same way that once they are old as their parents, they would not depart from it. Which imposes that the training has therefore become a lifestyle that the children live and are seen by that which they cannot do away with.

In our next part,we'll come to understand why it's necessary to train the child and how exactly we must train up the child.

Each individual goes through vartious developmental changes as they grow, it is important to understand the various syages and challenges associated with them in order to safeguard the serenity of such stages. During such stages, it has been noticed that certain individuals in schools sometimes are stretched far above what their developmental changes can handle.
