In my opinion, Ali Wazir's release from Sukkur Jail after 21 months and his re-arrest by Sindh Police within few hours is very sad and alarming. If the court had ordered release, it should have been respected. In democratic societies, adherence to law and judicial decisions is a fundamental principle.
I think that the Sindh government, especially the People's Party, should abide by court orders and democratic values. Such actions not only question the justice system but also affect public confidence.
In my opinion, instead of weakening law and institutions in this way, justice and the supremacy of the Constitution should be ensured, and this behavior of Ali Wazir should be dealt with immediately and fairly. ✍️
