When local partnerships come together, awareness reaches further.

At The DEAR Foundation Switzerland, we believe that lasting change starts within communities. We support local organizations such as Keoogo and AMPO, empowering them with the tools and resources they need to create meaningful and sustainable impact.

On July 2, 2026, Keoogo welcomed AMPO International e.V. to the Beoog Tienbo Village Medical Center in Burkina Faso for a knowledge-sharing session focused on breast cancer prevention, early detection, and breast self-examination techniques through our DearYou Initiative.

As partners of the DearYou Initiative, both organizations used this opportunity to exchange experiences and explore how the DearYou app can support community-based breast health awareness. By sharing knowledge, practical approaches, and lessons learned, they are helping ensure that more women have access to reliable health information and the support they need to take action early.

Together, we are helping women and communities gain the knowledge they need to recognize warning signs, seek timely care, and make informed health decisions.

💗 Early information saves lives.
💗 Early detection matters.
💗 Together, we can improve community health.

From Awareness to Impact ✨

During the DearYou Ambassador Webinar in June, Prof. Myrna Doumit shared a powerful insight: information alone does not change lives.

Women often delay seeking care not because they lack knowledge, but because of fear, stigma, cultural expectations, or concern for their families. True impact happens when awareness is transformed into trust, confidence, and action.

What makes Prof. Doumit's work so inspiring is her unwavering belief that every woman deserves to be heard, supported, and empowered. Her passion for advancing women's health and creating lasting change reminded us that behind every statistic is a human story—and that empowering one woman can create a ripple effect across families, communities, and generations. 💜

Creating change through education, one future healthcare professional at a time. ✨

We are proud to celebrate the graduation of more than 60 DearYou Nurses at Applied Science Private University in Jordan. Equipped with knowledge in breast health, early detection, and community education, these students are now ready to become ambassadors for awareness and positive change.

Together, we are empowering communities, breaking barriers, and helping more women take charge of their health. 💗

What is a breast biopsy? 🔍

A breast biopsy is one of the most important tools in diagnosing breast cancer. By examining a small tissue sample, doctors can determine whether a suspicious change in the breast is cancerous and decide on the most appropriate treatment.

Remember: an abnormal mammogram or ultrasound does not necessarily mean cancer. A biopsy provides clarity and helps ensure that patients receive the care they need as early as possible.

Early detection and diagnosis can make a life-changing difference. 💗

There is something powerful about being truly heard. 💗

For Stacy-Ann Smith, creating spaces where women can share their experiences, challenges, and achievements has become more than a career — it has become a purpose. Through media, education, and advocacy, she has dedicated her work to helping women and girls build confidence, embrace their identity, and recognize their own value.

Whether on television, in schools, or through community initiatives, Stacy-Ann believes that every conversation has the potential to make a difference. Sometimes, all it takes is one person who listens, understands, and reminds you that your voice matters.

As a DearYou Ambassador, she brings that same spirit to our community — encouraging women to learn from one another, support one another, and turn shared experiences into positive change.

Because when women are given the space to speak, grow, and connect, extraordinary things can happen. ✨

Early detection saves lives. 💗

More than 1 in 4 women will experience a breast condition during their lifetime, and a new lump is often the first sign. While most breast lumps are not cancerous, any change deserves attention and should be discussed with a healthcare professional.

This is why regular breast self-exams are so important. By becoming familiar with the normal look and feel of your breasts, you are more likely to notice changes early and seek medical advice when needed.

✅ Know your normal
✅ Check regularly
✅ Pay attention to changes in shape, texture, or skin appearance
✅ Don't ignore new lumps or unusual symptoms

At DearYou, we believe that knowledge is power. The more we understand our bodies, the more confident we can feel in taking charge of our health.

No one understands your body the way you do. 💗

Your breasts don’t stay the same all month — they respond to your cycle, your hormones, your life. That’s normal.

Take a moment regularly to feel what’s usual for you. Notice if something feels different, like:
👉 Any lumps, bumps, or thicker areas
👉 Changes in shape or size
👉 Alterations in the skin
👉 Unusual ni**le discharge

If you do notice something, don’t jump to conclusions. Give your body time and check again after your period. If it’s still there, that’s your sign to get it looked at.

Little reminder: the more familiar you are with your own body, the easier it is to notice changes early. Writing things down can really help you stay in tune with yourself over time — try logging your feelings and observations in your journal with the DearYou app.

This month, our project partner Nashmiyat met with women in a remote area of Al-Salt, Jordan, to raise awareness about breast health, early detection, and the importance of knowing their own bodies. 💗

Many women in this community have limited access to information about breast cancer. Through open conversations, education, and the introduction of the DearYou app, they aimed to provide knowledge, confidence, and support.

Every woman deserves access to life-saving information. Every woman deserves the chance to take charge of her health. ✨
