Not to become who we used to be

But to remove what no longer needs to occupy the room

And leave some space

The expectations
the roles
the guilt
the version of ourselves that kept everyone comfortable

We carry them long enough
and eventually call them “me”

Maybe letting go isn’t about becoming someone new

Maybe it’s discovering what was never you in the first place

What are you still carrying simply because you’ve carried it for so long?

to fear the face
of a woman who has lived

The wrinkles
The softness
The silver hair
The body changing
The years becoming visible

But once,
the elder woman
was not disappearing

She was becoming
the keeper of memory
The one who knew
the plants, the bodies, the cycles

The one people came
to for counsel
The one who
had survived enough life
to recognize what mattered

Maybe aging
was never
the loss of our power

Maybe
we simply built a culture
that stopped knowing
how to recognize it

I become
I know
I am

And perhaps
the woman I am becoming
is not someone
I should fear

Perhaps
she is the woman
I have been walking
toward all along

There is something powerful about walking the shape of an 8

Two sides
Two directions
Two polarities
And one point where they continuously meet: the center

You move away
You cross
You return
You move again

For me, it’s not about walking perfectly
It’s about noticing what happens when the body keeps finding its way back to the center

Again and again

Maybe balance isn’t a place where we finally arrive
Maybe it’s the movement of returning ♡

Not because I couldn’t do more
but because I don’t want my work to become mechanical

Every person who comes into my space deserves my full presence
my attention
my hands
my energy

I need time between sessions to reset
to breathe
to come back to myself
so I can truly be there for the next person

I never want you to feel like just another appointment in my calendar

I want you to feel that, for the time you are with me, there is space for you

Your body
your story
your silence
whatever you bring that day

For me, care also means knowing when enough is enough

And maybe this is simply my way of caring for my people
