ESCRS Afterglow💛

The European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) 2026 is over, and we are going home with full notebooks, great conversations and many memorable moments from booth F170.

We explored OS 4 Up, Faros, CataRhex 3 and our highlights for cataract glaucoma and vitreoretinal surgery.

We welcomed visitors to our wetlab stations, hosted expert perspectives during booth talks, launched our first official Oertli merchandise collection and supported the Cure Blindness Project with every purchase.

A sincere thank you to everyone who visited, joined a session, shared feedback or simply stopped by to say hello.

Some anniversaries deserve more than a handshake. This is one of them 🦅

At our partner event during The European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS) 2026 , we had the pleasure of celebrating an incredible milestone: 20 years of Thomas Bosshard at Oertli 🥳

Over the past two decades, Thomas has helped shape Oertli’s journey from a respected niche player into a globally recognised medical technology company. From and communications to management, innovation and international , his influence can be felt across many of our key achievements. 🌍

What makes Thomas truly special is his curiosity, his ability to inspire others, and his openness to new ideas and cultures. Whether driving innovation in or exploring the opportunities of , he continues to lead with passion and vision. 🚀

As a small thank you, we surprised him with a pair of custom Nike sneakers featuring an Oertli design 👟, a fitting tribute to someone who has left such a unique footprint on our company.
