Some things don’t just hurt you.
They change you.
There are experiences that divide your life into a before and an after.
And when people ask, “How did you survive that?” sometimes the truth is…
you didn’t survive it as the person you were.
A version of you disappeared somewhere inside the grief, the fear, the heartbreak, the loss, the nights nobody saw.
And for a long time, you may have desperately tried to find her again.
But healing isn’t always about becoming who you were before.
Sometimes it’s about grieving her.
Honoring everything she carried.
Thanking her for getting you as far as she could.
And slowly meeting the person who came out the other side.
Different.
Softer in some places.
Stronger in others.
More aware of what matters.
More protective of her peace.
Maybe you were never meant to go back.
Maybe healing is learning to love the person you had to become❤️
