📣🇫🇷 Vendredi 18 septembre : soutenance des mémoires dans le cadre du Diplôme universitaire de pair-aidance en santé mentale et neurodiversité à Lyon, en France.

Quatre collègues de CoCreate Humanity se préparent à cette prochaine et ultime étape de leur parcours universitaire. La soutenance aura lieu au Centre hospitalier Le Vinatier - Psychiatrie Universitaire Lyon Métropole.

Nous remercions chaleureusement les directeurs de mémoire qui nous ont accompagnés dans cette aventure : Magali Ledieu, Catherine Padovan, Lotfi Bechellaoui, Jean-François Pelletier, Richard Rechtman et Germando Kagomba.

CoCreate Humanity construit son socle académique dans le but de professionnaliser la pair-aidance humanitaire en santé mentale et de faire reconnaître le métier de pair-aidant humanitaire.
La pair-aidance humanitaire en santé mentale est complémentaire de l’expertise clinique des professionnels de la santé mentale. Elle ne s’improvise pas. La formation, la supervision et la mise en place d’un cadre d’intervention sont indispensables pour garantir la qualité et la pérennité de cette démarche.

📣🇬🇧 Friday 18 September: Dissertation Defenses as part of the University Diploma in Peer Support in Mental Health and Neurodiversity in Lyon, France.

Four colleagues from CoCreate Humanity are preparing for this upcoming and final milestone of their academic journey. The defenses will take place at Centre hospitalier Le Vinatier – Psychiatrie Universitaire Lyon Métropole.

We warmly thank the dissertation supervisors who have supported us throughout this endeavour: Magali Ledieu, Catherine Padovan, Lotfi Bechellaoui, Jean-François Pelletier, Richard Rechtman and Germando Kagomba.

CoCreate Humanity is building its academic foundation with the aim of professionalizing humanitarian peer support in mental health and ensuring formal recognition of the humanitarian peer supporter profession.
Humanitarian peer support in mental health complements the clinical expertise of mental health professionals. It cannot be improvised. Training, supervision, and the establishment of a clear intervention framework are essential to guarantee the quality and sustainability of this approach.

🎉💜🎉 August 30, 2019 – August 30, 2026: 7 years already.

Today, CoCreate Humanity celebrates its 7th anniversary.
The founding act was signed in a small bar in Geneva by three co‑founders — a handful of dreamers with a simple yet immense ambition: to support humanitarian workers experiencing psychological challenges.

Seven years later, the path we have travelled is considerable.
The association has grown, its governance has evolved, and our way of supporting humanitarian workers has consolidated. One conviction, however, has only grown stronger: to fully take its place in mental health, humanitarian peer support must become professionalized.

There can be no real paradigm shift without a solid academic foundation and a clear framework that protects both the peer supporter and the peer supported.
Training, supervision, university certification, scientific research… The volunteers of CoCreate Humanity give their time and energy wholeheartedly, despite busy schedules and their “real jobs” alongside this commitment.

Today, we especially want to say THANK YOU.
Thank you to those who bring this initiative to life and support colleagues affected by psychological injuries with professionalism.
Thank you to those who work, often behind the scenes, on our development strategy, communication, and fundraising.
Thank you to mental health professionals, academics, occasional volunteers, and all our partners.
And above all, thank you to the people we accompany, and to their families, for their trust. It is for them — and with them — that this journey continues.

🎉💜🎉 30 août 2019 – 30 août 2026 : 7 ans déjà.

Aujourd’hui, CoCreate Humanity fête son 7ᵉ anniversaire.
L’acte constitutif a été signé dans un bar genevois par trois cofondateurs, une poignée de rêveurs avec une ambition simple et immense : soutenir les collègues humanitaires en souffrance psychique.

Sept ans plus t**d, le chemin parcouru est considérable. L’association a grandi, sa gouvernance a évolué, et notre manière d’accompagner les travailleurs humanitaires s’est consolidée. Une conviction, elle, n’a cessé de se renforcer : pour prendre toute sa place en santé mentale, la pair‑aidance humanitaire doit se professionnaliser.

Car il ne peut y avoir de véritable changement de paradigme sans un socle académique solide et un cadre d’exercice qui protège à la fois le pair‑aidant et le pair‑aidé.
Formations, supervisions, diplôme universitaire, recherches scientifiques… Les bénévoles de CoCreate Humanity s’investissent corps et âme, malgré des agendas chargés et leurs « vrais emplois » en parallèle.

Aujourd’hui, nous voulons surtout dire MERCI.
Merci à celles et ceux qui font vivre cette initiative et accompagnent, avec professionnalisme, les collègues blessés psychiques.
Merci à celles et ceux qui travaillent souvent dans l’ombre, sur notre stratégie de développement, notre communication ou notre collecte de fonds.
Merci aux professionnels de la santé mentale, aux universitaires, aux bénévoles ponctuels et à tous nos partenaires.
Et surtout, merci aux personnes que nous accompagnons, ainsi qu’à leurs familles, pour leur confiance.
C’est pour elles, et avec elles, que cette aventure continue.

L’association CoCreate Humanity (CCH) a été créée le 30 août 2019 à Genève. Nous aurons le plaisir de célébrer notre 7ᵉ anniversaire à la Buvette de la Plage de Lutry, le samedi 5 septembre dès 16 heures 🥂

Sept années de rencontres, de liens tissés, de projets partagés et de soutien aux travailleurs humanitaires, à travers la professionnalisation de la pair-aidance humanitaire en santé mentale.
Cet anniversaire sera l’occasion de célébrer le chemin parcouru, de remercier toutes celles et ceux qui font vivre cette aventure et de regarder ensemble vers l’avenir.

🔔🇫🇷 Hum’Animation 2026 : un partenariat académique entre l’école Gobelins Paris et CoCreate Humanity. Découvrez la première réalisation de la promotion Graphic Motion Design en Alternance (GMDA) 2025-2026.

« Au cœur de l’urgence »
Ce motion design retrace le parcours d’une travailleuse humanitaire brutalement plongée au cœur d’une urgence nutritionnelle au Niger. Confrontée à la mort, à l’impuissance et au doute, elle apprend peu à peu à transformer la douleur en action et à trouver les ressources pour continuer.

“At the Heart of Emergency”
This motion design piece retraces the journey of a humanitarian worker suddenly thrust into the midst of a nutritional emergency in Niger. Confronted with death, helplessness, and doubt, she gradually learns to transform pain into action and find the inner resources needed to carry on.

🇫🇷 En ce 19 août 2026, nous marquons la Journée mondiale de l’aide humanitaire. Cette journée rend hommage à toutes celles et ceux qui, partout dans le monde, s’engagent auprès des populations touchées par les conflits, les catastrophes et les crises, parfois au péril de leur propre vie.

Cette année, cet hommage résonne avec une urgence particulière. Alors que le système humanitaire est sous-financé, soumis à une pression croissante et que celles et ceux qui portent secours sont eux-mêmes de plus en plus exposés, la Journée mondiale de l’aide humanitaire nous rappelle une exigence essentielle : protéger les humanitaires et les populations civiles, défendre le droit international humanitaire et préserver notre capacité collective à agir.
Pour CoCreate Humanity (CCH), marquer cette date symbolique est essentiel. C’est un temps de mémoire et de reconnaissance, mais aussi un moment pour rappeler la force de la solidarité et la nécessité de prendre soin de celles et ceux qui prennent soin des autres.

Elisa Van Mal, mezzo-soprano, Julien L'Hermite, ténor, et Nenad Djukic, organiste, unissent leurs talents pour rendre un hommage sensible aux travailleurs humanitaires. Nous remercions également le Temple de Lutry de nous avoir permis d’enregistrer dans ce lieu symbolique.

🇬🇧 On this 19 August 2026, we mark World Humanitarian Day. This day pays tribute to all those around the world who stand alongside people affected by conflict, disasters and crises, sometimes at the risk of their own lives.

This year, that tribute carries a particular sense of urgency. At a time when the humanitarian system is underfunded and under increasing pressure, and when those providing assistance are themselves facing growing risks, World Humanitarian Day reminds us of an essential imperative: to protect humanitarian workers and civilian populations, uphold international humanitarian law, and preserve our collective capacity to act.
For CoCreate Humanity (CCH), marking this symbolic date is essential. It is a time for remembrance and recognition, but also an opportunity to reaffirm the power of solidarity and the need to care for those who care for others.

Elisa Van Mal, mezzo‑soprano, Julien L'Hermite, tenor, and Nenad Djukic, organist, are bringing their talents together to offer a heartfelt tribute to humanitarian workers. We would also like to thank the Temple de Lutry for allowing us to record in this symbolic setting.

🇰🇪 CoCreate Humanity (CCH) is honored to participate in the 2nd Research Carnival on which will take place in Nairobi, Kenya from 23 to 25 September 2026 under the theme: "Reimagining Wellbeing: Indigenous Knowledge and Approaches and Protection of Humanitarian Workers".

📢 Participant registration is now open. The registration deadline is Thursday, 13 August 2026, at 23:59 CEST.

This important event is hosted by the Kenya Red Cross Society (KRCS) and organized by the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement MHPSS Hub, the Kenya Red Cross, the British Red Cross, and the Swiss Red Cross / Croix-Rouge suisse, in partnership with Protect Humanitarians and McGill University.
