You are not doing yoga wrong if your mind wanders or your body feels restless. There is no need to force being calm or make yourself be still first. Sometimes noticing “I’m distracted” or “I want to move” is already part of the practice.
You are welcome to move, pause, rest, change your mind, or choose something different.
This is also why I call them trauma-sensitive yoga sessions, not classes. Because it is not about following instructions perfectly, keeping up with a group, or getting the posture “right.” It is a space to notice what feels possible for you, in your body, in this moment.
Your body’s signals are welcome here. 💚
You are always welcome to join a session or send me a little heart if you would like to chat first.
AJ 💚
