😖PAIN😖

Every year therapists and trainers seem to discover the next magical solution to pain.

Ultrasound. Massage. Mobilisations. Needles. Stretching. Core stability. Motor control. Strength training. Pain science.

Each one was presented as THE answer… THE solution

The problem isn’t that these things are useless. Most can help some people some of the time.

The problem is believing any single intervention can reliably make pain disappear.

Pain is messy. Human beings are messy. Recovery is messy.

Perhaps the most important lesson I have learned over the 27 years of helping people move better, feel more confident, stay active, and get back to doing meaningful things matters is that it’s MUCH more than chasing the latest miracle cure.

Funny how the more we learn about pain, the less magical our solutions become. And that’s probably progress.

Shame the idiots over at FP can’t and won’t ever see this!

How so many of you mindless drones listen to this deluded wassock is beyond me!

😮SCOLIOSIS SCAM😮

Every week there seems to be another account making scary, unsupported claims about mild idiopathic adolescent scoliosis.

“You must avoid normal exercise.”

“You need specialist correction.”

“Your curve will get worse if you don’t follow our method.”

“Generic strength training is dangerous.”

“Only our very specific, very special, very expensive approach can save you.”

Get f**ked

Don’t get me wrong Scoliosis can matter, especially in younger people with larger or progressing curves.

But many mild curves are stable, don’t predict pain or disability well, and don’t need people being scared out of sport, lifting, gym work, or normal life.

The problem isn’t helping people with scoliosis.

The problem is turning every mild curve into a lifelong identity, diagnosis, and subscription model.

People with scoliosis don’t need more fear.

They need good information, sensible monitoring when appropriate, reassurance, and encouragement to stay strong, active, and confident.

Not another internet expert whispering spine doom into their algorithm.

❓QUESTIONS❓

Helping people in pain is never just about asking “where does it hurt and when?”

Good clinical care starts with better questions, even better listening, and less jumping to conclusions like an under-caffeinated diagnostic fascia loving functional patterns goblin.

These 10 questions can help you understand not just the pain better, but more about the person dealing with it.

Because the goal isn’t just to find the sore bit and rub it.

It’s to understand what matters, what worries them, what they believe, and what they need help with

Good luck! 🤞👍

😮STRETCHING HIPS😮

New study just out on hip pain found that both stretching and strengthening improved hip-related quality of life over 6 months.

But before all the mobility gurus start salivating, strengthening still led to better odds of pain improvement and if course strength gains!

However the real takeaway from this is if you’ve got hip pain you have options.

Stretching may suit those already strong and active.

Strengthening may suit those with more pain, weakness, or lower capacity.

Good rehab isn’t about forcing everyone into your favourite exercise cult.

It’s about matching the approach to the person.

Less dogma. More clinical reasoning

🤦‍♂️THIS BOZO🤦‍♂️

As predicted he thinks he’s won but he’s also crying that we aren’t friends and wants an apology from me!

Well Naudi it will gonna be cold day in hell before that happens my slippery little worm!

You don’t get to act all moral and superior after years of abuse, attacks, lies, defamation, and general nasty sh*thousery of the highest order!

You also don’t get to demand everyone proves deadlifts and squats are safe forever before providing any evidence they cause harm or dysfunction

That’s not science and you’re not scientific

And watch this space for some very interesting news that I will be sharing soon highlighting Naudi and many of his Functional Patterns drones bullying, intimidating, harassing and defaming tactics they like to use!

When Naudi and his Functional Patterns cult say:

“There’s no longitudinal evidence supporting squats and deadlifts.”

They’re correct for once… but

There is ALSO no longitudinal evidence showing squats and deadlifts cause higher rates of chronic back pain, disability, spinal degeneration or dysfunction.

Many researchers are literally using deadlifts and squats as interventions for chronic pain, osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, and falls prevention.

Which creates a slightly awkward situation for these bozos claiming these exercises are inherently dysfunctional, degenerative, and dangerous.

Once again please avoid this malicious cult hell bent on demonising normal healthy safe exercise and replacing it with their own brand of bu****it whilst putting the fear of god into about doing some deadlifts and drinking a cup of coffee!

Worst group of people in this field I have ever come across… nothing good to say about them or their behaviours!

Sound like anyone you know… 😂

😯GYMS😮

What kind of gyms is this dude going to… and where are they?

Purely for research purposes of course! 😏
