☀️ While many switch off for summer, outdoor workers face the highest UV exposure.

Construction workers, farmers, lifeguards, transport and public service workers, for many of them, August means long hours under intense sun and UV exposure, increasing the risk of skin cancer.

✅ That's why EADV is putting this at the centre of the 5th Multi-Stakeholder Summit on Occupational Skin Cancer: "The Sleeping Giant" in Vienna, 2 October, alongside the .

Experts from the World Health Organisation, International Labour Organisation, the European Commission and Austrian and Swiss accident insurance institutions will explore how to:

▪️Better protect outdoor workers from UV
▪️Improve skin cancer prevention and early detection
▪️Strengthen data and recognition of occupational skin cancer
▪️Embed skin cancer prevention in OSH policy
