There’s something powerful about the feeling of freedom.

That “I want to break free” moment isn’t just about travel or holidays. It’s about what happens inside when the pressure finally loosens.

We don’t always notice how tense we are until we stop. Work stress, constant notifications, expectations, the quiet pressure to always be “on”, it builds up slowly, like background noise you learn to ignore.

Then comes a break.

The first days are strange. Rest doesn’t feel like rest yet. It feels like emptiness, even guilt. The mind keeps reaching for tasks that aren’t there anymore.

And then, something shifts.

The noise fades. The body slows down. And suddenly, there’s space again to think, to breathe, to just be.

Freedom isn’t only the absence of work. It’s the return of your own rhythm underneath it all.

And that’s when you realize: you weren’t just tired. You were overloaded.

🔥Burnout doesn’t usually come from one big moment, but from a long period of pushing through stress without enough recovery.

It can be caused by constant pressure at
- work or in daily life
- lack of boundaries
- too many responsibilities with too little support
- emotional overload
- or simply ignoring your own needs for too long.

Over time, your nervous system stays in “on mode” for so long that even rest stops feeling restorative.

🙂The good news is: burnout is not a personality trait, and it’s not something you just have to “push through.” With the right support, structure, and guidance, you can get back to feeling clear, present, and like yourself again.

Commitment Phobia

"I can love freely and stay grounded."

I used to notice a pattern in relationships not just in myself but in others as well, when things got serious, fear would creep in. I’d pull away, doubt myself, or avoid commitment altogether. It isn't about others, it was about me learning to trust my own heart.

2 Tips to stay grounded and embrace love:
1️⃣ Check in with yourself: When fear arises, pause and ask, “What am I really afraid of?” Often, it’s not the other person, it’s losing your sense of self.

2️⃣ Anchor in your body: Take a deep breath, feel your feet on the floor, and remind yourself: “I can love freely and stay grounded.” Your body is your home, your safety.

Fear of Abandonment

"I am safe in my own love."

I remember feeling, years ago, that I always had to prove myself to be worthy of love. Every relationship, every connection felt fragile, and I constantly feared being left behind. My mind would race: “Do they really care? What if they leave?”

Tip: When that fear arises, pause and place your hand on your heart. Breathe in deeply and say to yourself: “I am safe in my own love.” Let this truth settle in, even for a few moments. Your own presence and compassion are enough.
Repeat this as many times as you wish, the main thing that the feeling stays.

Sometimes I feel my mind spinning with too many thoughts, worries, and “what ifs.” I’ve learned that holding on to unnecessary energy only drains me.

Ok, but how can I stop it?

Tip: Take a moment, close your eyes, and exhale deeply. Imagine letting go of everything that doesn’t support your growth, your peace, your joy.
Imagine placing all your worries on leaves and letting the river carry them away.

I remember how powerful it felt the first time I truly released what was weighing me down. I felt lighter, clearer, and more present.

Self-Gaslighting – How to Stop It

Years ago, I caught myself constantly doubting my own feelings and decisions. I would replay every choice in my mind, asking, “Did I do it right? Should I have done more or different?” The harsh voice inside me seemed louder than any outside opinion.

If you catch yourself doing the same, just pause. Breathe.
Remind yourself: you are not your own enemy.

3 tips to stop self-gaslighting:
1. Name it – When you notice self-doubt creeping in, say it out loud: “This is my mind questioning me, not the truth.”
2. Check reality – Ask yourself, “What evidence do I have that this criticism is valid?” Often, the answer is: none.
3. Shift your stance – Replace criticism with curiosity or compassion: “I wonder why I feel this, and what I actually need right now.”

I remember how freeing it felt the first time I actually treated myself as an ally. I could finally trust my intuition and step forward with clarity and calm.

Years ago, I felt a constant heaviness inside me, the deep sense that nothing I did was ever enough. It wasn’t the workload that drained me, but the endless pressure to give more and be more. I remember wishing I could retreat to a sanatorium for two months, and just have everyone leave me in peace.

Pause, breathe, and honor your limits – your body and soul are quietly asking for attention.
Even a short moment of rest can recharge you and remind you of your inner strength.
You don’t have to reach that extreme – notice it sooner, take care of yourself, and prevent burnout.
Today, I lead autogenic training sessions at a rehabilitation clinic, helping employees prevent burnout before it takes over.

Psychosomatic Awareness

I used to ignore the tension in my shoulders and the constant tightness in my whole body, thinking it was just stress. I pushed it back with working more or just going for a massage sometimes. But I didn't have a real connection to myself.

Your body often shows what your mind is struggling to express.

Notice recurring tension – shoulders, jaw, or stomach – and ask yourself what emotions might be hidden there.

Take a few minutes daily to breathe deeply and check in with your body.

For me, listening to my body was a turning point. Every ache became a message I could no longer ignore. I had to listen as I suffered more when I ignored the messages.

Your body holds your wisdom; every sensation is a message waiting to be heard.
Listening deeply is a gentle act of love to yourself – it opens doors to profound healing.
