The result is the Lynk System: built around a distinctive closure concept and a modular base that enables different configurations.

Over time, the system expanded step by step: new materials, new modules, and new use cases.
Today, Lynk stands for reliable support in daily situations where mobility and grip are restricted — without losing focus on simplicity.

🚀 From prototype to socket concept, the Explorer System.
The Explorer System grew out of a very concrete everyday situation: people with limb differences often need different solutions for different activities – but every new need usually means a completely new device.

Created in 2021 and launched in 2022, it was never meant to be another single-purpose prosthesis. Instead, it’s a modular system: a robust base paired with interchangeable activity modules 💙

What began as early sketches became prototypes. Prototypes became socket concepts. And from there, a growing portfolio of modules — shaped side by side with long-term testers, in real-life conditions.

Explorer delivers continuity through modularity: swap modules as needs evolve, without changing the entire device 🧩

🎉 Five years ago, macu4 started with one idea | to improve everyday life for people with impairments of the upper limb 💡

We were motivated by realizing how severely this group is still underserved globally — and how invisible this challenge often is in everyday life.
Since then, we’ve been working step by step to turn that idea into meaningful solutions that truly support users.

Instead of developing just a single product, we deliberately chose a different path: building a strategic portfolio from the outset, allowing us to address needs across different indications, age groups, activities and care settings in a holistic and sustainable way.
