Ich freue mich sehr über meine Kooperation mit Creating Space: Gesundheit - Schönheit - Wissen und auf diesen Kurs, denn aus Erfahrung weiss ich, was typische Notfälle im Kindesalter sind. Klar, da gibt’s die vielen Kleinen, die unvermeidbar sind. Aber mir geht es auch um die grossen Gefahren. Denkt mal an Verbrennungen und Verbrühungen, Ertrinken oder Ersticken. Und das sind nur Einige, über die ich spreche.

Und weil solche Notfälle vermeidbar sind, spreche ich auch über Prävention. Das gehört für mich dazu, schliesslich wissen wir, dass jedes Kleinkind, dass ertrinkt, nicht ausreichend beaufsichtigt wurde.

🔴🔴 An allergic reaction⁠
⁠
Allergic reactions can affect different organs; symptoms and severity can vary; and in rare cases, an allergic reaction can even be life-threatening.⁠

The first symptoms can appear within minutes to two hours after the sting.⁠
Symptoms can include ⁠
* itching, redness, and hives ⁠
* swelling of the eyes, lips and even the entire face⁠
* nausea, abdominal pain & vomiting ⁠
* shortness of breath ⁠
⁠
⁠
Treatment ⛑⁠
➡️ If the person has been diagnosed to be allergic to insect stings, their doctor will have provided them with an emergency kit with medication ➡️ use the medication as prescribed now❗️⁠
➡️ Remove the stinger if still visible.⁠
➡️ If the medication incudes an epinephrine auto-injector and it was used because symptoms are severe, call an ambulance 🚑. In Switzerland, the number is 144. ⁠

If no medication has been prescribed or is not available, call an ambulance 🚑!⁠

A severe allergic reaction, called ANAPHYLACTIC SHOCK, is accompanied by a drop in blood pressure and can lead to unconsciousness and life-threatening respiratory arrest or cardiovascular collapse.⁠

‼️Help the person further by⁠
* sitting them in a slightly reclining position if they have breathing difficulties⁠
* placing them on their back with legs elevated if they feel dizzy or show signs of (circulatory) shock⁠
* placing them in the recovery position, if they are unconscious but continue to breathe normally⁠
* starting CPR if the person is unconscious and is not breathing or not breathing normally ⁠
