Nowadays, with life becoming more fast-paced by the day, it’s easy to get lost living from the mind and more disconnect from the body.
We override tiredness with things that give us a quick push: coffee, ice baths, stimulation.
We hold tension without noticing. We push emotions away. And we keep going.
But tiredness, restlessness, contraction, emotions, and a constricted breath can all be ways the body quietly speaks.
This doesn’t mean every sensation carries a deep meaning. But bringing curiosity to what we feel can begin a different relationship with the body.
The question is not always:
“How do I make this go away?”
Sometimes it’s:
“What is my body needing right now?”
“What is it trying to communicate?”
So next time you feel tired or emotionally drained, instead of reaching for the next thing to keep you going, maybe:
Instead of another coffee, maybe lie down for 15 minutes of Yoga Nidra.
Take a few slower breaths.
Put your phone away for a moment.
Let your body feel that it doesn’t always have to keep pushing.
A small way of saying:
“I hear you”
Before the whispers become screams.
