Someone once said that by 27 or 28, a man should simply find a woman and get her pregnant. I strongly disagree.

I do not want to experience baby mama or baby daddy drama in my life. That is why I would never choose to have a child outside marriage.

For me, bringing a child into the world should be guided by maturity, commitment, stability, and intention, not pressure, age, or social expectations.

Baby, let’s do this in 2030 💍 🤰 👩‍🍼🧑‍🩰

Coach Cate, the brain behind Parenting Beyond Compass, has officially supported the launch of our book, SCRAMBLED COMMUNITY MANAGER, co authored with Che Housia, with the sum of 50,000 FCFA.

Honestly, writing a book in Cameroon is not for the weak.

You battle stress, editing, sleepless nights, disappearing data bundles, and those moments where you stare at your screen wondering whether people will even read what you are sacrificing for 😂

Thank you, Coach Cate, for believing in this vision and for standing with us. May your kindness return to you in bigger ways.

DR. VERONICA ABEH FORCHU: A CAMEROONIAN WOMAN TURNING PAIN INTO PURPOSE ACROSS CONTINENTS

At a time when many people use influence only for visibility, some individuals are quietly using their platforms to change lives, restore dignity, and give hope to people they may never even meet physically. One of those women is Dr. Veronica Abeh Forchu.

Today, as she celebrates her birthday, many Cameroonians at home and abroad are not only celebrating her age, but also celebrating the impact of her work, her generosity, and the example she continues to set for young Africans around the world.

Veronica Abeh Forchu is a Cameroonian American Doctor of Nursing Practice, dual board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, author, and mental health advocate whose journey continues to inspire many people across Cameroon and the diaspora.

Originally from Bamenda, she migrated to the United States in 2002 and steadily built a career rooted in education, discipline, compassion, and service.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing before later obtaining her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from UMass Global in 2020.

Professionally, she is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Mikkadesh Mental Healthcare LLC, a private mental healthcare practice established in late 2022.

Through her work, she has continued advocating for mental health awareness, emotional healing, and psychological support, especially within African communities where conversations around mental health are still often misunderstood or ignored.

Beyond medicine and healthcare, Dr. Veronica Abeh Forchu has also become known for her autobiographical writings centered on resilience, survival, healing, and personal transformation.

Her recently published book, From Shadows to Rainbows, reflects that same spirit of hope rising from difficult seasons. The title alone speaks to a reality many people understand deeply. Life can move from dark moments into brighter chapters when faith, courage, and perseverance remain alive.

What makes her story even more meaningful to many Cameroonians is the way she continues to remember home despite building her career abroad.

In an era where social media is often filled with noise, Dr. Veronica has consistently used her online presence to support and encourage people financially through online challenges, giveaways, and acts of kindness that directly touch ordinary lives back home in Cameroon.

I can personally testify to this generosity. In January, I participated in one of her online challenges and emerged as one of the winners, receiving a cash prize of 100,000 FCFA.

For many people, such gestures may look simple from the outside, but to those receiving them during difficult moments, they become reminders that somebody somewhere genuinely cares.

This is one of the reasons her name continues to resonate positively among many Cameroonians online. People are not only seeing academic success or professional titles. They are also seeing humanity, accessibility, and intentional giving.

At a period when conversations around leadership, influence, and social responsibility are becoming more important in Cameroon, stories like hers matter.

They remind young people that success becomes more meaningful when it creates opportunities, encouragement, and hope for others.

As family, friends, readers, patients, followers, and well wishers celebrate her birthday today, many will likely remember different things about her journey.

Some will remember the healthcare professional. Others will remember the author, the mentor, the mental health advocate, or the philanthropist.

But perhaps the most important thing people will remember is that she continues to use her story, her voice, and her platform to uplift others.

Happy Birthday to Dr. Veronica Forchu.

May the new chapter ahead bring greater impact, stronger health, deeper fulfillment, and continued grace as you keep inspiring lives across borders.

👉🏽 If you have read this post right up to this point, take a moment to follow her platform and join others in celebrating her special day. A simple gesture like dropping a heart on any of her posts today will go a long way in honouring her impact and contribution.

YOUR VOICE ONLINE MATTERS MORE THAN YOU THINK

A lot of people post online like they are writing official court documents. Clean, correct, and so quiet that even the audience starts questioning if there is a human behind the page.

Yet the same person will argue strongly in real life when someone takes their last piece of meat from the plate.

When you are on social media, your voice is your identity. People do not only follow information, they follow personality.

If everything you post sounds like a press release, do not be surprised when your page feels like an empty hall where nobody is sitting in the front row.

Even simple humour or a personal opinion can make people stop scrolling. It shows you are present, not just publishing.

Think of it like this. Two people say the same thing about traffic in Yaounde. One writes like a news robot.

The other adds a small personal reaction like “at this point, even my patience is stuck in traffic.” Guess who gets more engagement. Exactly.

My latest book, SCRAMBLED COMMUNITY MANAGER with Che Housia explains this even in a more simple way using relatable examples and practical tips.
