This acupuncture point is on the San Jiao (Triple Burner)! It isn’t a physical organ. In Chinese medicine, it’s the system that helps regulate how fluids, energy, and communication move throughout the body. You can think of it as the body’s internal coordination network, helping different areas work together smoothly. 🥰

Before leaving my first appointment, I looked over to the shelf and noticed the doll, it became really interesting to me 🧐 I felt better after my treatment, and I eventually became so intrigued, I started on the adventure to become an acupuncturist! Realizing it is a medicine that can help many people with various ailments has helped me hold onto the passion and continuous growth. Graduating in about a month is very exciting 🥰

There’s something so beautiful about learning to heal through nature 🌱
Really excited for where this journey of traditional medicine will take me.
Studying around so many herbs has me excited for learning them all and becoming a TCMP one day ☺️

📚Starting to read through a new book, Insights of a Senior Acupuncturist- a Book by Miriam Lee.
It already has some very interesting insights with the first few pages, I thought I would share with you!

Summary:

Why do acupuncturists often use points on the hands and feet?

The nerves in our hands and feet are very sensitive and strongly connected to the brain. When these areas are stimulated, they can create powerful signals that help regulate the body, sometimes even more effectively than needling directly where pain or illness is felt. (When pain is taken away in a shoulder by using a foot point - it is mind-blowing!)

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, the hands and feet are seen as areas that are very active. Because we use them constantly, they carry strong movement and circulation, making them powerful places for treatment.

Acupuncture works by helping the body reconnect, regulate, and restore its natural harmony - sometimes starting from the smallest, most sensitive places like the hands and feet.
