The patient presented with pain from a lateral ankle sprain.
Treatments: Insert the needles at Zusanli (ST36) and Zulinqi (GB41) with Zha Tiao (Muscle-Twisting Needling Technique) and electrical stimulation.
After one session, most of the pain was relieved. 👍👍

Modern Abdominal Diagnosis and Acupuncture for Low Back Pain
Right-sided low back pain for 3 days, with a past history of L5/S1 disc herniation surgery.
Abdominal diagnosis findings: Tenderness at the right immune area, inguinal ligament, and GB26 (Daimai) acupoint area.
Treatment: Bilateral immune points; right-side KI7 (Fuliu), SP9 (Yinlingquan), ST13 (Qihu), and GB26 (Daimai)
After needling, the abdominal signs disappeared, and the low back pain improved significantly. Examination showed no tenderness. No special local treatment was applied.

A patient presented with esophageal acid reflux. Abdominal examination revealed tenderness in the CV 20 (Huagai) and CV 12 (Zhongwan) areas. Professor Wang Ying’s acupoint selection approach was as follows:

Pain in the CV 12 (Zhongwan) area: the Stomach Qi Line;
Pain in the CV 20 (Huagai) area: the corresponding reactive points on the Large Intestine Meridian.
Based on Professor Wang Juyi’s experience, the Inner Canon (Huang Di Nei Jing) states that both the small and large intestines pertain to the Stomach. Therefore, the esophagus, as the connecting passage at the upper opening of the stomach, should also be considered part of the intestines, which he termed the “broad intestine.” Hence, acupoints on the Large Intestine Meridian can be selected to treat esophageal issues. After needling, re-examination of the CV 20 (Huagai) area showed immediate and complete disappearance of pain.

Qihuang (QH) Needle Therapy for Temporomandibular Joint Disorder (TMJ)
🍀Needle specification: Qihuang needle, 0.5 mm × 40 mm�
🍀Acupoints selected: ST7(Xiaguan), SI19 (Tinggong), TE17 (Yifeng)�
🍀Procedure: Insert the needle using the “Flying Needle" technique. After achieving deqi (needle sensation), gently flick and pluck the needle handle, and perform the Hegu needling technique.
Upon completion of the manipulation, withdraw the needle rapidly and press the needle hole with a sterile dry cotton ball.�Note: When needling SI19 (Tinggong), instruct the patient to keep the mouth open.

🥳After only two treatments, the temporomandibular joint spontaneously reduced, allowing normal mouth opening and closing movements. The mouth opening was not deviated, no clicking sensation was felt during opening, and no audible joint clicking was heard.
