Founded in 1950, Puning People's Hospital was the first county-level 3A-grade hospital in Guangdong province. The hospital covers an area of 36.19 mu (2.41 hectares), with a construction area of over 60,000 square meters. The hospital provides services for the city and adjacent counties and districts, covering a population of more than 6 million.
It has more than 2,200 employees, including 174 senior titles and 307 intermediate titles. The hospital has 35 disciplines, 32 clinical departments and 69 subdivisions, including two provincial key clinical specialties, two key supporting construction specialists in Guangdong province, and three clinical key specialists in Jieyang city.
In 2018, the hospital treated 1.04 million emergency and outpatient cases, received 90,000 inpatients and conducted 24,900 operations. It made an income of 1.166 billion yuan ($173.61 million) and obtained the fixed assets of 724 million yuan.
Puning People's Hospital has the city's largest business volume, the lowest per capita hospitalization, and the highest patient satisfaction.
