During his trip to Fudan Zhongshan Hospital, Dr. Walther exchanged views with top endoscopist Prof. Zhou Pinghong to advance China-Colombia medical cooperation & training. Reflecting on a highly successful 3 days of medical exchange in Nanjing. This joint initiative officially commenced with a fantastic opening ceremony, paving the way for both the Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital Belt and Road International Academic Symposium and the 2026 Belt and Road Countries Digestive Endoscopy Diagnosis and Treatment Training Program.
A massive highlight was the live-streamed surgeries. Seeing tech like the 3D 4K AQ-400 UHD Endoscopy System and ERCP surgical robotics perform in real-time truly showcased the future of minimally invasive care.
Looking ahead, we will continue to utilize Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital as our primary training base—honing our skills on these advanced systems to deliver better patient outcomes globally. 🤝

We are proud to share that the 2026 Training Course on Digestive Endoscopy Diagnosis and Treatment for Belt and Road countries was successfully held from April 10 to 20 in Shanghai.

This high-level program, a collaborative initiative by the IHECC (National Health Commission of China) and Zhongshan Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University, served as a professional nexus for leading experts to exchange clinical insights and cutting-edge techniques.
