Some places feel like they were dreamed rather than built.
Portmeirion has that kind of magic: colourful walls, hidden doorways, unexpected corners, and the feeling that you’ve wandered into a story that was already happening before you arrived.
Maybe that’s what I love about places like this. They remind us to slow down enough to notice what we might normally walk past.

Some places stay with us long after we've left them.
Maybe it's the quiet or the feeling that something unfinished still lives there.
I wonder if we do the same with parts of ourselves.
The places we've stopped visiting internally aren't always lost. Sometimes, they're simply waiting for us to return with different eyes.
This castle reminded me that change doesn't erase beauty. It gives it another language.

The old stone walls, the soft light through stained glass, the stillness that asks nothing of you except to be present.
