CONGRATS to July’s Rockstar of the Month - BRENDA! 🌟

There are people who find Dominical and leave. And then there are people who find Dominical and somehow just… stay. Five years later, still here, still surfing, still showing up to the mat with the kind of energy that makes the whole room better.

Brenda is the second kind. She splits her time between the shoreline and the studio — which tells you everything you need to know about her priorities (they are the right priorities). We love having her in class, and we are so glad she let us ask her a few questions…

1. Where are you originally from?

The wholesome barefoot outdoors of the US Midwest 💛

2. How long have you lived / been visiting Domi?

It’s been five years now 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

3. What’s the best part about being here?

The everyday unexpected enchantments

4. How long have you been practicing yoga?

I have been practicing for 11 years — I took my very first class in New Orleans, Louisiana and have found my way into daily practice

5. What’s your favorite yoga pose?

So many, currently it is Star Pose 🌟… I love that it lets you take up as much space as possible in such a powerful way

6. What’s the best thing about Rockstar Yoga?

The authentic-neon-candy-colored love that emanates into Dominical ❤️🧡✱️

7. If you were a rockstar, dead or alive, who would you be and why?

Björk… I mean The Sugar Cubes? — a must — plus I wouldn’t have to actually BE Björk — I could be a Sugar Cube WITH Björk and we would BOTH wear the iconic mute swan dress 🦢✱️

8. On most days you can find me…

…floating somewhere 🩶, either above my yoga mat 🧘‍♀️ or on my surfboard 🏄
