Shanenawá People – People of the Blue Bird. The Shanenawa people live on the banks of the Envira River (Feijó – Acre) since 1940, there are 1500 indigenous people distributed in 11 villages, they live in the tradition and within their culture, considered by all indigenous people as Doctors of the Forest, they are scholars of medicinal herbs and much talked about by the best medicines of the forest.

My name is Pajé Rua Husê, I'm 33 years old and I started taking UNI at the age of 7, with my parents, uncles and aunts. I am married and the father of 3 children, I have lived all my life in the village, where I am until today. Walking in the forest with the oldest ones all my life, I came to learn, accompanying them in the pajelancas in practice together with the older ones.

I've been working as a Paje for 18 years, doing cures, helping people who need healing, being a great connoisseur of natural medicine.

It's been 18 years working within spirituality, seeking knowledge and today I have the respect of the elders . Im comming from the Shanenawá People, working to bring our knowledge to others and to preserve our culture..
