Every year on 𝟐𝟐 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 the world marks 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲 - a global awareness initiative established by the 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐅𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 (𝐖𝐅𝐍) to highlight the importance of brain health and to increase awareness of neurological disorders.

The theme for 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 𝐢𝐬 "𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡: 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐥𝐥." This year's campaign emphasises that every person, should have timely access to neurological care.

Brain disorders include stroke, dementia, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, migraine, brain tumours, and many other disorders affecting the brain, spinal cord and nervous system.

It is equally important to recognise the warning signs of neurological disease: persistent or severe headaches, sudden weakness or numbness, difficulty speaking, loss of balance, changes in memory or thinking, unexplained seizures, persistent dizziness, vision changes, tremors, or other ongoing neurological symptoms should never be ignored.

Early assessment can make a significant difference. If you experience persistent neurological symptoms, or notice concerning changes in yourself or someone close to you, consult a 𝐍𝐞𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭 for a comprehensive evaluation.
