Σύμφωνα με τις αποφάσεις των νέων μέτρων προστασίας απο την πανδημία, το ιατρικό διαγνωστικό μας κέντρο και τμήμα μαστού θα συνεχίσουν την λειτουργία τους. Οι ασθενείς μας καλούνται να εισέρχονται στο κέντρο χωρίς συνοδούς όταν η παρουσία τους δεν είναι απαραίτητη.

According to the decisions of the new measures for protection against the pandemic, our diagnostic imaging and breast center will continue its operation. Our patients are kindly requested to enter the center unaccompanied when this is possible.

By practicing monthly breast self-examination, (BSE),by visiting your doctor annually for a check-up, and by having a mammogram, you can take an active role in your breast health care. Examine your breasts every month, checking for changes or lumps that are unfamiliar to you. Before menopause, the best time to do the exam is after your monthly period. After menopause, choose a day and examine on that day each month. ❤️ , ,

3D Mammography technology is a revolutionary new screening and diagnostic tool.
The most exciting advancement in breast cancer detection in more than 30 years.
To the patient, a 3D mammography exam is very similar to a 2D mammogram. The technologist will position you, compress your breast, and the X-ray arm sweeps in a slight arc over your breast while taking multiple images from different angles. The computer produces a 3D image of your breast tissue in one millimeter slices, providing the radiologist with the ability to see breast detail in a way never before possible.
The radiologist then will examine the images of your breast like pages of a book and
report results to your physician.
The 3D images make it possible for the radiologist to gain a better understanding of your breast tissue during screening, significantly improving early breast cancer detection and providing the confidence to reduce the need for recall by up to 40%.

To raise awareness about the thyroid gland and symptoms of thyroid disease, January has been designated Thyroid Awareness Month.

The thyroid is a small, butterfly-shaped gland located in the base of the neck.. Although small in size, the gland plays a large role by producing thyroid hormone which influences the function of many of the body’s most important organs, including the heart, brain, liver, kidneys and skin. When the thyroid gland is not producing the right amount of hormone (either too much or too little), problems can start to arise.

Over the last decades, ultrasound has become the leading imaging technique used in the diagnostic workout of thyroid diseases. Thanks to rapid technical improvement, we are now able to differentiate precisely even very small lesions in the thyroid tissue, which previously would have stayed unrecognised. Similarly, the Doppler techniques are able to visualise blood perfusion in the thyroid parenchyma, thyroid nodules and lymph nodes with an excellent precision.
