Kids Meditation 💕 Kids Meditation & Mindfulness Hub
Helping young minds feel calm & confident
Tools, ideas & voices that support
For kids • parents • caregivers

My dream is to bring people and organisations together to help promote meditation and mindfulness to children and young adults. I help children of all ages and abilities learn how to relax, show empathy, and be happy about themselves, by using meditation and mindfulness techniques. Meditation and mindfulness offer benefits to everyone but my Connected Kidsâ„¢ training program also allows me to help

children who have SEN, Autism, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and children who have experienced trauma. I offer group classes and private one-to-one classes either online or in person. I'm originally from the UK and have lived in Hong Kong and Dubai. My home is on the beautiful island of Cyprus with my husband, son and two dogs. If you are interested in classes or joining my quest to promote children's meditation, please email me on [email protected]. Praise absolutely has its place.

But confidence isn’t built by praise alone.

Children also need opportunities to struggle, persevere, solve problems and develop a kind inner voice that supports them through challenges.

When encouragement comes from both the adults around them and from within themselves, confidence becomes much more resilient.

One of the biggest lessons I've learned is that children don't need us to remove every difficult feeling.

They need us to walk alongside them while they learn how to manage those feelings.

That's where mindfulness, breathing and positive self-talk can all play a part.

Children don't always need more words.

Sometimes they need fewer words and more connection.

The most effective strategies are often the simplest ones.

Parents often ask me how to stop anxious thoughts.

My answer is usually to begin with the body.

When children feel calmer physically, they're much more able to think clearly, solve problems and use positive self-talk.

Breathing isn't the solution to every worry—but it can create the conditions that make other strategies much more effective.

Children don’t need dozens of mindfulness tools.
Often, one simple skill practised consistently is enough.
Box Breathing is easy to learn, easy to remember, and easy to use when children need it most.
Save this post to try later.

Sometimes children don’t need a more complicated bedtime routine.
They just need a moment to slow down.
Balloon Breathing is one of the simplest breathing exercises to introduce before sleep.
Small habits can make a big difference.

Breathing exercises don’t have to look calm and still.
Some children learn best when their hands and bodies are involved.
Star Breathing is one of my favourite ways to help children focus on their breath without expecting them to sit perfectly still.
Have you tried it before?

The goal isn’t to replace every negative thought with a positive one.
It’s to help children develop thoughts that are realistic, supportive and encouraging.
Small shifts in language can create powerful shifts in mindset.
Save this exercise for later and give it a try.

Children often offer more compassion to others than they offer themselves.
Asking what they’d say to a friend can reveal a lot about their inner dialogue.
Sometimes the words they need most are the same words they’d happily give someone else.

Affirmations aren’t magic words.
They’re opportunities for children to practise a different way of thinking about themselves.
The goal isn’t perfection.
The goal is helping children build a kinder inner voice, one small thought at a time.
What positive message would you love your child to believe about themselves?
