Most people think they have to force themselves into exercises like wall angels to improve their shoulders.

I disagree.

If a movement causes pain, pinching or feels impossible, forcing it usually isn't the answer.

Often it's about finding the right starting point.

In this video, I show how I use a TRX suspension trainer to help clients work on the same movement pattern without forcing the body into positions it's not ready for.

It's one of the reasons I love movement-based training.

One of the biggest barriers to getting active again isn't pain.

It's fear.

Fear of making things worse.
Fear of moving the wrong way.
Fear of ending up back where you started.

When Stephen first came to see me, he was struggling with ongoing lower back pain and admitted he was nervous about working with a personal trainer because of previous bad experiences.

Having suffered a serious back injury myself, I know how frustrating and worrying it can be when your body no longer feels reliable.

Hi, I'm Trevor.
I'm 61, based in Paphos, Cyprus and for years I struggled with back pain, stiffness and setbacks after a serious injury in my twenties.

What I've learned is that most people don't need extreme workouts.

They need strength, mobility and confidence to keep doing the things they enjoy.

They need a body that moves better.
