This year, three wonderful dancers are joining us at Touch&Play Germany as part of our dancers in residency program.

Throughout the festival, they’ll offer daily 1:1 Contact Improvisation sessions — an invitation for you to grow deeper into the practice!

💕Meet our dancers:

👣NINA BAUMAN:
Dance educator and fire artist based in Regensburg, Germany.
Nina has been actively shaping the Contact Improvisation scene in Regensburg for several years, teaching classes and workshops both on land and in water and organizing festivals.

👣BENJAMIN MANUEL:
Since 2022, Benjamin has been teaching Contact Improvisation, facilitating jams, laboratories and classes at festivals and throughout the Bavarian region.

"Contact Improvisation has profoundly shaped my life. It influences the way I move, relate, learn and perceive the world. I practice it not only as a dance form, but as a way of living — a practice that continues to deepen my understanding of communication, creativity and human connection."

👣MAGDALENA TWOREK:
Magdalena is a movement artist, educator and cultural organizer based between Poland and Iceland. Her movement practice draws from Improvisation, but oh, Somatics and physical theater with a particular curiosity for sensory perception and attention.

We’re excited to welcome them into the Touch&Play field — and curious about all the encounters that will grow from these exchanges. 🌿

Belonging begins long before the festival does.

Over the past weeks, we've heard from many of you.

"I'd love to come... but I simply can't afford it this year."

We hear you.

Creating a culture of belonging isn't only about what happens once we arrive together. It's also about asking: Who gets to be there in the first place?

While we can't solve the financial realities of our time, we can try to meet them with creativity, care and community.

Contemplative Dance Practice zur Zeit des Hochsommers

Was ist in Dir in den letzten Monaten gewachsen?
Wo erlebst Du Fülle?
Und was braucht noch Zeit, bevor es reif ist?

Der Hochsommer erinnert uns daran, dass nicht alles im Leben ständig wachsen muss. Manches möchte einfach reifen. Gehalten sein, in dem was ist.

In dieser Contemplative Dance Practice folgen wir dem Rhythmus der Jahreszeit. Meditation, freier Tanz und kreativer Ausdruck verweben sich zu einem gemeinsamen Erfahrungsraum, begleitet von Reflexionsimpulsen aus der Tiefenökologie.

Wir beginnen in der Stille, bewegen uns zunächst allein und anschließend gemeinsam, verweilen wieder in der Meditation und lassen das Erlebte durch Schreiben, Malen oder Musik sichtbar werden. Zum Abschluss teilen wir unsere Erfahrungen im Kreis.

into Contact Improvisation Jam

Was braucht Dein Herz, um weich werden zu können?
Welcher Herzenswunsch sehnt sich gerade nach Raum und Unterstützung?

Zwischen dem trubeligen Sommertreiben und den Herausforderungen unserer Zeit lädt Dich dieser Workshop dazu ein, weicher zu werden – Dir selbst gegenüber, Deinem Herzen und dem, was gerade in Dir lebendig ist.

Wir widmen uns dem physischen Herzen und dem, was dort an Gefühlen, Sehnsüchten und Erfahrungen wohnt. Nicht, um etwas zu verändern oder zu lösen, sondern um zuzuhören.

Durch Berührung, Bewegung, Atem und die Unterstützung der Gruppe entsteht ein Raum, in dem Dein Herz Ausdruck finden darf und Du Dich Schritt für Schritt auf das einstimmen kannst, was gerade da ist.

Von dort aus öffnen wir den Blick über das Individuelle hinaus: Wir stimmen uns zunehmend aufeinander ein und erforschen die relationale Ebene dessen, was zwischen uns entsteht. Aus dieser gemeinsamen Resonanz heraus öffnen wir den Raum für eine Contact Improvisation Jam.

Musing with life—
letting life move through me.

Nature is at the height of its season.

There is nothing left to become.
Nothing left to force.
Only the invitation to hold
what is already here.
To let it ripen.

To trust that, for now, it is enough. That this season's work has been done. And that rest, too, belongs to life.

Maybe nature remembers something we've forgotten.

Because we don't get to choose whether change comes.
We choose how we meet it.

The past weeks have carried a lot of change for me.
A new home.
A new job.
New projects, new rhythms, new responsibilities.

Life has been moving through me- asking me to settle into new shapes.

At the same time,
I feel the uncertainty of our times settling into my body.

The consequences of climate change are no longer a distant future. War, propaganda and dehumanising politics fill our news.

And even the future of my own work—as a psychotherapist and social entrepreneur—feels increasingly uncertain.

There is so much I cannot control.

And yet…

As I watch the world around me,
I don't only see uncertainty.

I see roots growing deeper.
The mycelium spreading beneath the forest floor—an intelligent web of mutual support.
Plants that know when it is time to grow. And when it is time to pause.

Trees that remind us
that growth isn't linear.
It unfolds in spirals.
In seasons.
In cycles of expansion and rest.

Maybe resilience
has never been about certainty.
Maybe it has always been
about relationship.

Relationship with ourselves.
With one another.
With the living world that keeps showing us how life
responds to change.

I notice those roots growing in me, too. Not as certainty.
But as trust.

A trust that I don't have to know what comes next.
That I don't have to carry it alone.
That there is support
beneath the surface,
even when I can't always see it.

Change will come.
As it always has.
Season after season.

May we meet it the way
nature does.
Not by resisting it.
But by growing roots deep enough to keep us connected while everything else changes.

THE TANGIBLE NATURE OF TRUST-

Where Contact Improvisation meets Somatic Psychology.

Trust is not rational.
It is something we embody and co- create through lived experience. 

Join us for a weekend of Contact Improvisation, movement and somatic psychology, exploring how trust emerges through presence, touch and embodied relating.

Drawing from nearly two decades of work at the intersection of Somatic Experiencing®, Compassionate Inquiry®, Contact Improvisation and psychotherapy, Santiago creates spaces where creativity, trust and authentic connection can naturally unfold through movement, play and embodied inquiry. 

Together we will explore self- and co-regulation, consent, containment, spontaneity and the intelligence of the body—discovering how these aspects shape the way we relate to ourselves and to others.

A space for dancers, therapists, facilitators, educators and anyone curious about embodiment, trauma integration and authentic connection.
