Meet Erik Marjowitz, a Medical Support Assistant (MSA) in Mental Health with nearly 10 years of service.

As one of the first people patients meet when they arrive, Erik helps coordinate appointments, referrals, and keeps care running smoothly behind the scenes. He believes that a friendly smile, a little humor, and treating people with respect can make a big difference—especially when someone is taking the difficult step of seeking mental health support.

Erik is also passionate about building community and morale across the installation, helping support initiatives that bring people together both inside and outside the clinic.

When asked about his favorite place he’s visited while stationed in Germany, Erik’s answer was simple: home in Houston, Texas, where he enjoys spending time with family, eating Tex-Mex, and cheering on his favorite sports teams.

Thank you, Erik, for your dedication to our patients, team, and community!

The Baumholder Army Health Clinic is proud to highlight Johanna Seliskar, a therapist in our Mental Health section whose dedication makes a meaningful difference in the lives of our Soldiers every day.

Johanna provides direct patient care for individuals facing mental health challenges and life stressors, helping them build resilience, overcome obstacles, and return to mission readiness. Her work is centered on empowering patients through evidence-based care, guidance, and support throughout their personal growth journey.

One of the things Johanna values most about working at the clinic is the strong teamwork within her section. She appreciates being part of a group that collaborates closely and shares a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality care. She is especially proud of the compassion her team demonstrates each day and the positive impact they make on their patients’ lives.

Johanna also wants patients to know that therapy is a collaborative process. While therapists provide expertise, guidance, and support, the real work and growth come from the individual. Therapy is much more than simply talking about problems—it’s an active journey toward lasting change and improved well-being.

When she’s not caring for patients, Johanna enjoys exploring Europe. Her favorite destination so far has been Ireland, where she loves the beautiful hiking trails, friendly people, and peaceful atmosphere.

We are grateful for Johanna’s professionalism, compassion, and commitment to our patients. Thank you, Johanna, for the outstanding care you provide and for being such a valued member of our clinic team!
