💫DISCERN AND ESCHEW THE WRONG THOUGHTS

For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry… (1 Samuel 15:23).

The word witchcraft used in 1 Samuel 15:23 specifically refers to divination, a form of spiritual manipulation that God forbids. However, this is not the only kind of witchcraft mentioned in the Bible. In 2 Chronicles 33, we are introduced to King Manasseh, a ruler who led Judah into terrible idolatry and demonic practices.

2 Chronicles 33:1-6 says, “Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign, and he reigned fifty and five years in Jerusalem. But did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, like unto the abominations of the heathen…And he caused his children to pass through the fire… also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft….”

In the passage above, another Hebrew word is used for “witchcraft,” which primarily refers to whispering spells, practices that involve the use of words and thoughts to manipulate spiritual forces. Nonetheless, witchcraft, in its various forms, is often about the work of demons. But one key aspect is whispering spells, which involve sending spirits through words and thoughts.

These spells are communicated via spoken words with spiritual intent, designed to summon or dispatch demons. What’s particularly remarkable is that these demonic whispers often arrive as thoughts. They reach people as internal prompts, seemingly harmless at first. But remember, words are thoughts clothed in vocabulary.

So, be quick to reject the wrong thoughts. Not every thought is from God, and not every thought you have originated from your own mind. Thoughts can come from multiple sources: from God, from your own mind, and from demons. That’s why it’s crucial to inundate your heart and mind with the Word of God.

Only through the discerning power of the Holy Spirit, combined with knowledge of the Word, can you distinguish between divine thoughts and demonic whispers. The Bible instructs us to test every spirit (1 John 4:1). You must be vigilant to examine the source of every thought and impression.

It’s part of the reason you must give yourself wholly to the Word (1 Timothy 4:15); let it dwell in you richly (Colossians 3:16). With a deep knowledge of God's Word and the leading of His Spirit, you’ll discern and reject the wrong thoughts and influences and embrace only the right ones.

Prayer
Dear Father, thank you for your Word and the gift of the Spirit. My heart is guarded with truth and wisdom to reject every thought that’s contrary to your Word, your will, and your destiny for my life. I walk in spiritual discernment and in the clarity and light of your Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

DU KANNST VIEL MEHR GNADE HABEN

Wachst dagegen in der Gnade und in der Erkenntnis unseres Herrn und Retters Jesus Christus! Ihm sei die Ehre, sowohl jetzt als auch bis zum Tag der Ewigkeit! Amen (2. Petrus 3,18).

Die Bibel fordert uns auf, in der Gnade zu wachsen und die Gnade, die in Christus Jesus ist, anzunehmen. Verharre nicht in der Gnade des letzten Jahres. Sie hat damals funktioniert, aber es gibt noch mehr! Gott möchte, dass du zu neuen und höheren Ebenen der Gnade aufsteigst. Du kannst um ein Vielfaches mehr Gnade empfangen! Du fragst dich vielleicht: „Wie kann ich das erreichen?“ Gottes Wort zeigt uns genau wie.

2. Petrus 1,2 sagt: „…Gnade und Friede werde euch mehr und mehr zuteil durch die Erkenntnis Gottes und Retters Jesus Christus.“ Beachte, dass es heisst: „Gnade und Friede werde euch mehr und mehr zuteil“; nicht addiert, sondern multipliziert durch die Erkenntnis Gottes und Jesu, unseres Herrn. Je besser du Gott durch Sein Wort kennenlernst, desto exponentiell wächst Seine Gnade in deinem Leben.

Die Erkenntnis Gottes, die Seine Gnade in deinem Leben vervielfacht, ist „epignosis“ (griechisch). Sie bedeutet vollständige und genaue Erkenntnis; Erkenntnis, die dich mit dem Objekt vereint. Ohne diese innige, offenbarende Erkenntnis oder „Epignosis“ Christi könnte deine Gnade stagnieren oder nur geringfügig zunehmen. Doch wenn du das Wort studierst und darüber nachsinnst, um den Herrn besser kennenzulernen, geschieht der Zuwachs plötzlich.

Dann erkennst du, dass deine Fähigkeiten gewachsen sind. Dein Einfluss, Wohlstand und deine Größe breiten sich immer weiter aus. Das ist einer der Gründe, warum Er uns auffordert, über die Heilige Schrift nachzusinnen: „Meditiere über diese Dinge, gib dich ihnen ganz hin, damit dein Gewinn für alle sichtbar wird“ (1. Timotheus 4,15 nach engl KJV).

Das Wort „sichtbar werden“ kommt aus dem Griechischen ‚Phaneros‘ und bedeutet „sich ausbreiten“, „allen bekannt sein“. Wenn also die Gnade Gottes in deinem Leben reichlich vorhanden ist, so sind neben deiner gesteigerten Fähigkeit, mehr zu tun, dein Wohlstand, dein Einfluss, deine Größe, deine Wirkung und die Weite deiner Herrschaft für alle unmissverständlich erkennbar. Halleluja!

GEBET
Lieber Vater, ich danke Dir, dass Du mir den Weg des Wachstums zeigst. Ich wachse in der Gnade und in der Erkenntnis des Herrn Jesus Christus. Meine Gnade wird durch Offenbarungserkenntnis vermehrt. Ich wirke auf einem höheren Niveau an Fähigkeit, Gunst und Einfluss, im Namen Jesu. Amen.

YOU CAN HAVE GRACE MANY TIMES MORE

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen (2 Peter 3:18).

The Bible tells us to grow in grace, to take advantage of the grace that’s in Christ Jesus. Don’t stay in the grace you had last year. It worked then, but there’s more. God wants you to move to new and higher levels of grace. You can have grace many times more. You might ask, “How can I make this happen? The Word of God shows us exactly how.

2 Peter 1:2 says, “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord.” Notice that it says “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you,” not added but multiplied through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord. The more you get to know God through the Word, the more His grace in your life multiplies exponentially.

The knowledge of God that multiplies His grace in your life is “epignosis” (Greek). It means full and exact knowledge, knowledge that unites you with its object. Without that intimate, revelation knowledge or “epignosis” of Christ, your grace could be stagnant or only go from little grace to a little more grace. But as you study and meditate on the Word to know the Lord more, the increase is sudden.

That’s when you realize that your abilities have increased. Your influence, prosperity and greatness keep spreading. It’s part of the reasons He tells us to meditate on the Scriptures: “Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all” (1 Timothy 4:15).

The Word "appear" is from the Greek “Phaneros”, and it means to spread abroad, to be distinctly known to all. So, when the grace of God is multiplied in your life, apart from the increased capacity or ability to do more, your prosperity, influence, greatness, impact, and the extent of your dominion are far-reaching and unmistakably known to all. Hallelujah!

Prayer
Dear Father, thank you for showing me the way of increase. I grow in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. My grace is multiplied through revelation knowledge. I function in higher levels of ability, favour and influence, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THE POOR IN SPIRIT

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 5:3).

When the Lord Jesus said, “Blessed are the poor in spirit,” He wasn’t referring to those who lack material possessions. Rather, He meant those who, in their spirits, have given up everything to God. These are people who don't hold anything back in their service of the Lord. You may see them surrounded by abundance, yet in their hearts, they’ve counted those things as nothing. They can give and spend anything for the sake of the Gospel.

The Apostle Paul expressed this in Philippians 3:8 when he said, “Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord....” You must come to that point in your life where the only thing that truly matters is the purpose of Christ, His eternal Kingdom, and the advancement of the Gospel of His salvation.

People may see you with beautiful possessions but those things don’t have dominion over you. The Spirit of God can tell you to give everything as an offering, and there’ll be no hesitation or argument. That’s what it means to be poor in spirit; you’ve relinquished ownership of everything to God. You have a heart that’s completely yielded to Him in love. Your satisfaction isn’t in the fleeting pleasures of this world but in Christ alone.

Notice what the Lord said about those who live this way; they’re the ones to whom the Kingdom of heaven belongs. The “kingdom of heaven” is the divine order of Christ’s dominion established in the earth. It’s the life and authority of heaven manifested here and now to bless and transform men’s lives. The poor in spirit dispense the glories of the Kingdom and live out heaven’s realities on earth. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for bringing me to a place of total submission to your will and purpose. My heart is yielded to you completely; nothing in this world holds my affection above your will. I live only for the purpose of the Gospel, to saturate the world with the Word. I’m a steward of divine treasures, using all that I have for your glory and the expansion of your Kingdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
