There's a story to this milk carton...

When Tyler visited last week, we got talking while making coffee. He flattened the empty milk carton for me and said thank you for teaching him as a child how to do that.

I think my stunned face said it all. 🤣 So he elaborated.

"In all my life, I've not met anyone who can make them as flat as you. Honestly. Without you, I wouldn't know how."

That was one of the most unique and surprising compliments I ever received. Surprising that he even thought of it. Surprising that he'd never seen anyone else do it. I mean, we're German. We sort our rubbish and the tons outside only hold so much. So it's a matter of efficiency and saving space.

I'd never thought about it, let alone watched others handle their rubbish. I just assumed everyone did it the same way.

But I love how Tyler with his neuroscience brain sees the world, notices things that no one else seems to think about (much). And how he appreciates things we see as mundane so deeply. 💕🥰💕
