I saw one giant, epic, bright shooting star rip through the atmosphere at 133,200 mph (59 km/sec)!!! As it burned at 3,000°F (1,650°C) my soul and heart lit up with joy to share such a special class with my community.

Yea yea, it sounds cheesy but... it's true, what can I say!?

Thank you to everyone who came out for this amazing event and to all of you who wanted to be there but couldn't - next time! 😉💛✨️

I ate a LOT of seafood and risotto, walked a bunch, did yoga once, and sat on the beach daily in Mallorca. It was perfecttt 👌

But my body feels a bit stiff after being out of routine, traveling, and not sleeping in my wonderful bed 🙃

So, let's get started again together!

Home from vacation and want to get moving again? Or just wanna move in general?

💪Here is an easy way to organize and plan a simple superset workout to ease you back in.

You can use this format any time, of course - it's one of my favorites!

To create your superset just choose two exercises and repeat them back to back twice with short rest in between. For example:

🌟Superset A:
Exercise 1 (Tricep dips): 25x
~short rest, 30 seconds or less~
Exercise 2 (Crunches): 25x
~short rest, 30 seconds or less~
Exercise 1 (Tricep dips): 25x
~short rest, 30 seconds or less~
Exercises 2 (Crunches): 25x
*** long rest, 2-5 minutes ***

🌟Superset B, select two new exercises and repeat format.

If you're new to exercise, inconsistent with strength training, or simply want to change things up Supersets can be a great way to change things up!

Yes, adjusting the load (weight or resistance), time (of work or rest), and reps (how many you do) are all factors that matter and impact your gains, what matters more is that...

🙌 YOU DID IT!!

It's not all or nothing. A little bit consistently is way more effective than a lot one time.

Have you tried Supersets before or would you? Comment or leave a question below 💪✨️

Hi everyone,

If you've taken a look at the weather forecast, you'll see that Friday probably won't be great for an outdoor, star-gazing yoga class!

Therefore, Yoga Under the Stars will move to the predetermined backup date:
Saturday, August 22

The meeting location, schedule, and event details remain exactly the same.

We'll meet at 19:30 by Zoepritzstrasse 44 and hike together to the Kriegergedächtniskapelle before beginning our 75 minute yoga practice around 19:45. Then we'll settle in to look for shooting stars, snack & socialize! It's bring-your-own-picnic so bring anything you wish. If you have more questions, just let me know in the comments!

I look forward to seeing you Saturday evening.

Wanna join and haven't registered yet??

TL;DR - slide 17 for my fave video.

Don't get me wrong, I don't always have the funds to travel far and wide all the time. But it is most definitely the thing I spend the most on when it comes to "fun spending."

I wouldn't have it any other way!

While travel can sometimes be exhausting & intimidating it also is wildly beautiful in so many more ways.

It expands our horizons and opens our minds and hearts up to new people, beliefs and customs. I'm a firm believer that empathy is a skill to be developed and tended to and travel helps us do that.

It creates core memories and opportunies for remarkable experiences and I'd always rather spend my money on that than stuff. (That's partially why you'll catch me teaching in the same clothes you saw me wearing back in 2018 😅 Funds are limited, people)

It allows me to spend uninterrupted, quality time with the people I love the most. I live very far away from a lot of people I care about. And while a couple weeks here and there doesn't seem like a lot, it adds up and really helps me feel less sad about not being able to make weekend visits to my parents or friends.

Also... food 🤩 I love trying new foods in new places!

Do you prioritize travel? What are your reasons for traveling?

Id love to gear your WHYs below about why or why not 🌟🌠🌞

PS: Scroll through for a tidbit about our eclipse adventure if you care to read! My version of a blog post 😅

A VERY sweaty test hike from Sant Elm to our view point, Torre de Cala en Basset!

A stunner of a test sunset 🌞

Eclipse day.
We'd crafted a master plan... go the day prior, test the location, leave the car there overnight so we'd have transit back home the evening after the eclipse and take a taxi home.

We had read that taxis and public transit would have free range through the road closures so we took a taxi home Tuesday night. The driver confirms taxis have free passage.

Called Wednesday mid morning to make sure they're running and all is smooth and she says yea no problem just call back when we're ready to go.

We call back an hour later and she says actually no... can't drive that way due to closures...!

We further investigate and discover that yes tax

Not trending audio here. The grunts, sighs & giggles are a part of the process.

Such a fun, spicy class this morning! I haven't taught Ashtanga in a while and NGL, I've been enjoying it again! It's nice to take a pause, change it up, learn, and then return to things sometimes.

Failure is valuable - teach yourself to honor it and to try and have fun along the way 🤸‍♀️💪
