No instrument in the world is played more intensively by hand than a percussion instrument. It is this idea that has set the rhythm for our manufacturing. We build cajons, cajintos, yambus, log drums and other percussion instruments for people with passion in their hearts and rhythm in their blood, for professional musicians all over the world and, to a certain extent, for posterity. In other word

s, Schlagwerk instruments keep the promise of our craft: to provide masterly manufacturing quality and excellent sound that lasts for many, many years. This is what has made us a role model for 30 years now. We are also proud of the number of friendships that we have developed with musicians and music therapists from all over the world. Hand in hand with them, we have created a range of instruments and accessories that is unique in the world of percussion. Just as unique as each one of our instruments.

The RC400 Rollin Cajon is more than just a percussion instrument — it’s a statement for inclusion, accessibility, and musical expression. And you can instantly see how much joy it brings when it’s played.
Developed in collaboration with community musician Tina Gronert, the Rollin Cajon was specifically designed for wheelchair users and people with physical disabilities. Its horizontal playing position, adjustable wedges, and secure holding strap ensure comfort, stability, and confidence while playing — even with limited mobility.
Crafted in Germany from multi-layer birch, the RC400 delivers a deep, powerful bass and a clearly defined snare response, meeting the demands of both professional percussionists and therapeutic settings. It’s an ideal instrument for music therapy, geragogy, inclusive music education, and community music projects.
Experience how inclusion sounds — authentic, expressive, and empowering.

A clearing in the forest… and then the sound of the Schlagwerk Frame Drum RTS61. Wow. 🌿✨
Huge thanks to Max for capturing such a beautiful moment.

The Schlagwerk Frame Drum natural series stands for a pure, natural, and deeply expressive sound experience.

Featuring a handselected goatskin head and an integrated tuning system hidden inside the frame, the RTS61 allows for incredibly subtle nuances in tone, dynamics, and resonance.

Its warm, organic sound blends perfectly with nature — whether for meditation, performance, sound journeys, or simply getting lost in the moment.

Sometimes, all you need is a frame drum and the right atmosphere. 🎧

What’s better than spending the day by the ocean? 🌊

Right — bringing your MoveBox along and playing to the sound of the waves.

There’s something special about mixing rhythm with the natural groove of the sea. But be careful… if you’re not paying attention, the ocean might just claim a piece of your gear.

Did that happen to Mr. Movebox?
Watch until the end to find out. 😅

Tom Cebulla putting a fresh spin on Barni’s recently released track “ein song über dich” 🎶🥁
Tom played drums on the original recording, but for this version, he reimagined the song on a custom percussion setup featuring Schlagwerk instruments—and it sounds incredible. 🔥
The track is featured on Barni’s EP “ich hab das nur für dich geschrieben.”

Fast response. Incredible sensitivity. Endless groove. 🥁✨

The Super Agile Silver Lining Cajon (CP580) is built for players who want every note to speak. Its Super Agile snare system delivers a crisp, highly responsive feel, making subtle ghost notes and powerful backbeats equally effortless.

We're excited to share this performance together with our Schlagwerk artist . ❤️ We couldn't imagine a better way to showcase what this cajon is all about.

What do you think about this cajon tone? 🥁

When our endorser and multi-percussionist Max Gerwien last visited Schlagwerk, he couldn't resist taking the La Ola Drum for a spin all across the factory 😅
Today's stop: the paint shop, with shelves packed full of shakers waiting for their next production step.
What do you think of the La Ola Drum? Is it an instrument you'd add to your setup? 👇

Our endorser Max Klaas put together a percussion setup featuring a selection of Schlagwerk instruments—and we really like how it sounds. 🥁
What do you think? Would this be your kind of setup, or would you add a few more Schlagwerk instruments to make it your own?
Let us know in the comments! 👇
And of course, a big thank you to Max for sharing this video with us.

Ever been there? 😅

You've got a gig coming up... and somehow your frame drum collection has grown faster than your carrying capacity. 🥁

Trying to carry them all at once? We've all had that moment. 😂

Luckily, there's a better way.

Meet the Schlagwerk TA6D Frame Drum Bag—designed to transport multiple frame drums in one compact, organized bag. Each side features dedicated compartments that let you neatly stack different drum sizes inside one another, while an additional side pocket keeps your sheet music or accessories close at hand.

In this video, it easily fits 10 frame drums—so getting to your next performance just became a whole lot easier.

🎵 Less juggling. More playing.

One setup. A completely different feel. 🔥🪘

After mounting the Pocket Bongos on the side of the Cajon, Tomas Milner now places them directly on the playing surface. A simple change in position opens up a whole new way of integrating them into his playing.

The Pocket Bongos were originally invented by Tomas Milner. Together with Danilo Raimondo, he developed the first prototypes before Schlagwerk refined the concept into the production model you see today.

Where would you mount yours—on the side or on the playing surface? 👇
