Hey Everyone!
Oh my, time flies. How much I missed this page & you.
As many of you know in November last year I left London and moved to Hamburg- an exciting journey and I can happily say I have settled rather easily and I´m loving life, even if you're all being missed loads. That's why it's gone all quiet on here but it's time to come back as there is so much more to say & share ...
Summer is here and so is a little overview of what this season stands for in Chinese Medicine, so have a read and enjoy.
This warm season, filled with abundant energy, long days and sunshine, is the most yang time of the year- meaning it's about heat, expansion, growth, activity and creativity.
Summer also belongs to fire, one of the five elements. Since our heart, mind and spirit is ruled by this element we should particularly look after our emotional well- being i.e. fill your days with joy and laugther and spend as much time outside.
To further prevent summer ills and remain in harmony with the environment of this wonderful season, Chinese medicine advises to wake early, go the bed late, take a little rest around midday, enjoy plenty of fluids and add tangy flavours to your meals. And don not forget to keep your heart, mind and spirit calm. How? you know it best: exercise, yoga, meditation, breathing, walks, singing, dancing, socialising with friends...anything that makes you feel good within yourself.
Have a wonderful week and
enjoy the weather!
Aloha!
