Welcome to Lambda's booth at the International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC) 2026 🚀

We are looking forward to great conversations, new connections, and exciting discussions around skin and hair organoid technologies and human-relevant models for translational research.

At Booth No.13, we’re showcasing how our hair & skin organoid platforms support:
✅ Hair & Loss (AGA)
✅Stress & Graying
✅Toxicity Screening
✅Aging & Fibrosis

Gastric cancer remains highly heterogeneous, with patient-specific tumor biology and the tumor microenvironment (TME) influencing drug sensitivity and treatment resistance.

Our patient-derived gastric cancer organoids, available through Lambda Biologics’ biobank, support functional drug-response profiling across diverse patient models and TME-relevant co-culture studies.

The shift toward NAMs is raising a harder question: how do we know an organoid model is truly fit for purpose?

For , validation should go beyond basic characterization. It should also ask:

Does the model retain relevant patient biology?
Is the assay appropriately controlled?
Does the panel capture meaningful biological heterogeneity?

In our latest blog, we explore this through three layers: Model Fidelity → Assay Qualification → Panel Benchmarking

We also apply the framework to a case study using Lambda Biologics data across histology, genomic profiling, MSI, and drug-response testing. Contact us to discuss your study!

As organoids, New Approach Methodologies (NAMs), regenerative medicine, and Bio AI continue to reshape biomedical research, the value of sharing robust data and emerging approaches has never been greater.

Scientific forums like ODC26 provide an important space to bring together new models, methods, and translational perspectives - and to move the conversation around human-relevant research forward.

We look forward to seeing the research and ideas that will help define the next generation of biomedical innovation.

The House passed H.R. 2821 on July 20, 2026, moving FDA Modernization Act 3.0 closer to enactment and signaling a broader shift from “animal” to “nonclinical” testing. Final congressional action is still required.

But terminology alone is not enough. The key question is whether your evidence is human-relevant, reliable, and fit for purpose.

Planning a human-relevant study? Talk to Lambda Biologics.

Today is World Lung Cancer Day. 🫁

Lung cancer remains the leading cause of cancer death worldwide. It's also one of the hardest cancers to study, because no two tumors behave quite the same way.

Our patient-derived lung cancer organoids preserve that individuality, the 3D models grown from a patient's own tumor tissue, so researchers can watch how it actually responds.

Awareness today. Better science every day after.

World Hepatitis Day 2026: "Hepatitis: Let's break it down."
Viral hepatitis is often silent. Many people have mild symptoms or none at all until the liver is already damaged. Left untreated, chronic hepatitis B or C can progress to cirrhosis and liver cancer.

Today's theme is a call to break down the barriers – cost, stigma, and access – that keep proven vaccines, tests, and treatments from reaching people.

At Lambda Biologics, we support liver cancer research with human-relevant hepatocellular carcinoma organoids: 3D models that preserve the genetics and architecture of real patient tumours, advancing predictive research without animal testing.

Lambda Biologics is heading back to Korea - this time as a co-host of ODC26: Mirrors.

Last December, ODC25 ASEAN brought the community together in Bangkok. This year, ODC goes global: an official MOU with the International MPS Society (iMPSS) — the first structured collaboration between the organoid and MPS fields — plus confirmed academic partnerships with the Korean Society for Stem Cell Research, KRIBB, and other leading global institutions.

As a co-host alongside AFI, OrganoidSciences, and KHIDI, Lambda Biologics will be there working alongside the researchers, regulators, and industry leaders setting the standards for animal-free, human-relevant drug discovery.

Abstract submissions for the poster session are open through August 15. Registration (on-site, livestream, or full access) is open now at odc.network.

See you in Pangyo!

Our answer, in short:

Organoid lines with sequential target-expression levels let us run a real comparative analysis - high-expression vs. low-expression lines - to establish a minimum effective target-expression threshold for the drug. That's a solid, quantifiable readout.

What it can't do is definitively predict clinical efficacy. We're upfront about that. Preclinical superiority over a Topo1i comparator tells you the drug candidate is worth advancing - it doesn't guarantee a Phase 2 response rate.

On sample size: for an initial feasibility read, 3–5 organoid lines are enough to tell you whether the efficacy signal is real. If you need statistically meaningful data - assuming a ~30% response rate in actual patients - plan for roughly 10 lines. And the right study design isn't one-shot: we usually walk clients through a pilot stage, an extension stage, and a correlation stage, scaling rigor as the program does.

The honest version of "can organoids predict the clinic" is: they can tell you where the biological signal lives, and how much data you need to trust it. They can't replace the clinic. That distinction is the whole point of testing preclinically in the first place - you're de-risking a decision, not skipping one.

Drug potency isn't the only thing that decides clinical success - delivery matters just as much.

Our CIPCO model captures both. Co-culturing pancreatic cancer organoids with CAFs recreates the physical stromal barrier that limits drug pe*******on in real tumors.

The proof: sensitivity drops in CIPCO compared to a standard organoid alone - a barrier effect that only shows up when stroma is part of the model. Co-administer a permeability-enhancing drug, and sensitivity recovers.

That's the advantage of a physiologically relevant co-culture platform: it doesn't just represent tumor biology; it predicts how a drug will actually perform against it.

If your pipeline needs a model built for that, let's talk.
