🚀 We have great news!

In this study, our VivaScope® 2500 technology enabled rapid assessment of fresh ultrasound-guided kidney biopsies in 50 patients (C. Re, et al. Eur Urol Oncol 2025). A provisional diagnosis was obtained immediately in 48 cases. The method achieved a sensitivity of 94% and a specificity of 100% for the detection of malignancy. Complete agreement with final pathology was observed in 91.7% of cases.

The CkOSMIC pathway significantly reduced the time to treatment decision, from 55 to 25 days overall and from 24 days after biopsy to the same day.

𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐬:
✔️Biopsy results available within minutes
✔️High diagnostic sensitivity and specificity
✔️Immediate repeat biopsy when necessary
✔️Diagnosis and treatment planning on the same day
✔️Fewer hospital visits and reduced anxiety caused by waiting for results

These findings suggest that this one-stop clinic model has the potential to become a new standard for renal mass biopsy and may also be applicable to other cancers, such as breast and urological malignancies.
