🎶 Where sound becomes connection 🧠

Last weekend, the Münchner Philharmoniker returned to the Brainlab atrium for "Nexus," an immersive concert experience blending music, space and digital art as part of our Brainlab Culture Program.

Together with pianist and concert designer Liang and visual artist Hütter, the musicians created a complete work of art where live visuals responded directly to the music—inviting everyone to not only listen, but to feel and experience the concert from within. Each evening traced how a neural network forms: starting at the same point for everyone with a single neuron, as minimalistic as the music of Philip Glass and Steve Reich, before growing, through Avner Dorman and beyond, into the distinct patterns of memory and personality that make each of us who we are.

While developing the concert, the artistic team was inspired by Brainlab technology to create a visual layer that bridges music and neuroscience, making visible what happens in the brain as a memory forms.

A big thank you to the Munich Philharmonic, Hanni Liang, Jakob Hütter and everyone who joined us for this journey through sound, science and connection.

What will define the O.R. of the future?

At Periop Leader Network-Formerly OR Manager 2026 in Savannah, this question shaped our conversations with healthcare leaders, surgeons and innovators.

The answer we heard was clear. The O.R. of tomorrow won't just connect systems—it will understand what's happening inside the surgical environment. It will turn data into actionable insights. It will help teams work smarter through streamlined workflows and advanced visualization.

The challenge is real. Surgical environments are becoming more complex. Staff expertise is stretched thin. Cost and efficiency pressures continue to mount. And the data teams need to make informed decisions often sits siloed and unstructured across disconnected systems.

At booth #529, we showcased how Brainlab solutions are helping shape the future of the O.R.:

🔹 Integrated O.R. connects communication, documentation and clinical data
🔹 Buzz® O.R. Suite* provides intuitive access to imaging, video and software content throughout procedures
🔹 Quip Surgical Platform** supports connected workflows, automation and computer vision
🔹 Spine Mixed Reality Navigation, Spine Planning, Spine Navigation and TraumaCad® Neo1 connect visualization, planning and navigation across the surgical workflow

What excites us most is not any single innovation, but the convergence of connected platforms, intelligent software, computer vision and mixed reality that is transforming surgical care.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth and shared their perspectives on the future of surgery. Those conversations continue to inspire us—and we're energized for what comes next.

The operating room of the future will be connected, intelligent, data-driven and built to adapt. Let's continue building it together.

The best congress conversations leave you with more to think about—and more to take forward.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, joined our Lunch Symposium and took the time to engage in thoughtful conversations with us at the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies (EANS) meeting.

We were proud to share how the Brainlab open cranial ecosystem continues to evolve beyond navigation toward clinical intelligence—bringing together patient-specific information, clinical expertise and technology to support decision-making across the surgical journey.

From planning and functional insight to intraoperative guidance, imaging, neuromonitoring and the care that follows, every perspective has a role to play.

Always on our mind. 🧠
The patient.
The surgical team.
The next meaningful advance.

Thank you for exploring what a more connected approach to cranial care can mean in practice. We look forward to continuing the conversation.

🧠 In cranial neurosurgery, every decision has consequences beyond the procedure. It can affect movement, speech, memory or thought—functions that make each patient who they are.

To make those decisions, surgeons need more than a view of anatomy. They need connected insight: patient-specific planning, functional information, navigation, intraoperative imaging, neuromonitoring and a clear path beyond surgery.

That’s why we’re moving beyond navigation toward an era of clinical intelligence. The open Brainlab cranial ecosystem connects the information and technologies across the journey, turning complexity into clear, actionable insight and helping surgeons stay focused on the patient. Because in cranial neurosurgery, what matters most is never just the procedure.

Always on our mind.
