The greatest pain of adulthood, void of the death pf those we love and the ever happening changes of life, is the pain caused by all that has caused us to close off our hearts. When we are born we are so open. As children we are inherently creative, little geniuses! We live freely without question, unconditionally. We forgive with ease. As we grow older, bit by bit, experiences create a hard layer around our hearts. We start protecting that which is most vulnerable, yet that same part is also the most precious. It is this part that allows us to fall in love. We are never looking for the perfect mate. The road to love is as manifold and mysterious as our universe. And yet, when our hearts are open, when we heal what we need to heal to be vulnerable, there is love around every corner, behind every shower curtain, among trees and concrete, and in our soft smiles that never fail to reach our eyes.

In the background is a video of me setting up for this exact practice. Oluf, my 16 year old dog, loves it when I do my daily ritual. He always has, since he was a young puppy, so I’ve been doing this for over 16 years now!
The great thing is that it can be as elaborate or as simple as works for you. I do at least half an hour daily to also make sure I fully embody what I share with my clients, but it can be done in as little as 5 minutes while sitting down and your coffee will still be warm enough to enjoy when you’re done.

What I have learned from years of meditation and ritual is that it is possible to become who you imagine yourself to be, with a life that meets your dreams. 10 years ago I could have never imagined that the things I wanted as a little girl - a loving relationship, children, dogs, magic, family - could all be part of my life. Yet here I am.
In all that time I also took copious notes, studied hard, so that I could guide others to do the same. Already a decade ago I started coaching and guiding people, before the era of “everyone’s a coach”. This work is part of my path because I have a calling and it was the most natural step.
I know there is love out there for all those who seek it, and I am here to guide the way.

Why do I go out to the countryside of Norway to practice Seidr in a group of 13 experienced witches?
I know I’m not alone in feeling ‘other’ and like there is nowhere that I truly belong. Always there is a yearning somewhere within. Even know, as I am here, immersed in ancient magic practice, I yearn, I hunger. For the woods, for a life I’ve never lived, for my children, for fulfillment. And. I feel normal.
Here amongst the witches I can listen and feel like my experience of the world, the self, and reality is normal. The little girl I once was who still lives within me rejoices. If only she would have known.
